Bank policies make it difficult/impossible to access cash quickly from a joint account. The teller also declined to cash a check because he doubted the veracity of the signature and refused to check with the account holder as to its legitimacy. Their Zelle transfer system while fast has low limits. Wasted 2 hours of my day dealing with these people

I've been here several times and the employees are almost always so mean. I don't understand why. They never smile and always act like I'm doing something wrong. The Christiansburg branch has much nicer customer service, but I don't always have the time to go all the way over there.

Every time I went here, there was always a problem over the simple action of depositing a check. I went to another branch in christiansburg and haven't had a SINGLE issue. I'm not sure what this branch's problem is.

This bank tries to say you should give your full account number to individuals not on your bank account just to deposit a check not cash deposit! So I should give an employee the ability to rob and steal from an account just to make the account easier for you to find. That’s not security it’s laziness!!

Worse experience with any Bank. Had an insurance company send check and was told if deposited in bank by some teller. So I had, by ATM. But guess... Yeah a 10 day hold was placed on AN INSURANCE COMPANY CHECK. In these days of fiber optic lines and high speed data lines, fax even telephonically verification. Still a 10 day hold. In the dinosaur ages(80's) Holds were only 3-5. But 2024 10 days.
Teresa was rude and disrespectful. You bet, once this check clears, we will no longer be Truist account holders.

My wife and I decided we wanted to change banks so after research I decided to try Truist. Had trouble setting up the joint accounts online so I made an appointment on her day off to visit the Blacksburg branch. Arrived on time, checked in, waited, waited, waited. We asked why we hadn’t been seen and were told that the banker who was to meet with us couldn’t meet because she was busy taking a test. We left and won’t be going back.

Was very happy to spend half an hour here on my lunch break, making my first ever mortgage payment. However no one in the bank knew how to pay additional to principle, and they wanted to charge a fee because I didnt have a checking account with them. Said they would have to cash my check before making the payment.I work at a bank and I've never heard of such a thing. Heres to a great 29 years and 11 months with whatever this bank ends up being called in a few months. The confidence I have in my home loan being handled correctly is sky high!

Friendly staff willing to help, my only complaint is that there's always a line with few workers.

Do not bank with BB&T. I have recently had issues with them. I've had them for almost 2 years and up until December I had no problems with them. I started receiving charges for negative balances in my account even though my account was showing I wasn't in the negative or i would deposit money and it would show up in my account, but somehow iIwould still receive a negative charge. I talked to several people about this problem and each time i was told a different thing. I was told "sometimes the app or online banking isn't accurate so you can call and check your balance" which I did and the automated system told me the same balance that was showing up in my app. I was told "it's how things are processed over night so you need to write down every transaction to keep track of your transactions" which i did yet still received a negative balance when I had calculated that my balance was fine. Then I was told that "it's how things post to your account so even if you deposited money and it's showing up in your account it's not really in your account." which makes no sense. None of my money was refunded except once because apparently BB&T is only allowed to refund you a fee ONCE in 24 months. Unless it's considered a banking error, which none of my problems were considered a banking error even though I was doing what I was told, but my account wasn't showing the proper balance or charges. I'm a college student that works part time and I can't afford to bank with BB&T that keeps putting my account in the negative and taking half of my paychecks. I called to say I was going to pay off my negative balance once I received my taxes and close the account and was told that they couldn't let me know exactly when it would hit my credit if I didn't pay it soon. So, I was told i just need to do it "soon." Which isn't helpful at all. They have no idea what they're doing. If you like to keep your money please don't bank with BB&T.

Lived in Blacksburg and banked with them for two years but they are absolutely awful to deal with. Once my account is closed tomorrow I will neither do business or recommend anyone to them ever again.

Just today, I opened a person checking account with Lisa marks. She was very informative and extremely knowledgeable about BB&T. Definitely Recommend for any of your banking needs!
