We absolutely love this daycare! From the very beginning, the entire team has made us feel so welcome and supported. Our daughter has truly thrived here, and we’ve seen such amazing growth in her confidence, learning, and social skills.
Special thanks to Ms. Tammy and Ms. Sam, they are truly exceptional. Their kindness, patience, and genuine care for the children shine through every day. They go above and beyond to make sure each child feels safe, loved, and encouraged. It’s clear they love what they do, and it makes all the difference.
Every staff member we’ve met has been wonderful, friendly, professional, and deeply caring. Her teachers so far; Kristin, Madyson, Regan, Sarah W., Aniyah, Sophie, Claire, Monir, Diksha, Jessica, Aidann, Amber, River, Liv, Savannah, Crystal, Dakuta, and Mr. Robert, have all been amazing and so patient with the kids.
We have complete peace of mind knowing our daughter is in such a nurturing and supportive environment. Thank you all for everything you do it truly means the world to us!

We’ve had all three of our children attend the KinderCare in Blacksburg, and I truly can’t say enough good things about it. Our youngest is currently enrolled, and we’ve been with the center for several years now. Tammy and her team have created a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment that’s been consistent through every stage of our kids’ early development.
The staff are kind, communicative, and clearly care deeply about the children. I’ve always felt confident that my kids were in good hands—safe, supported, and engaged. They come home happy, full of stories, and excited about what they’re learning. It’s clear that a lot of thought goes into the daily routines, activities, and curriculum.

We have had our daughter enrolled at KinderCare since she was 6 months old and we couldn’t be more satisfied with their care. Our daughter comes home everyday with new knowledge, words she’s picked up, and friends.
The staff at KinderCare is just awesome. They’ve been super helpful with drop off on difficult mornings, and have been diligent with notifying us of any illnesses or symptoms they’ve seen in the center. Tammy, Sam and the whole staff is amazing!
We especially love getting updates and photos through the app.
Just an overall great childcare center in the area.

Both of our kids have been at here since they were babies and we couldn't be happier or more grateful to have stumbled upon such wonderful childcare. From day one, we've felt welcomed and supported. The directors are always friendly and personable, greeting parents and kids by name each morning, which always sets the tone for a positive experience. The teachers are absolutely amazing—they genuinely care about the kids' well-being and development. The opportunities here go beyond what you'd expect from a traditional daycare setting. Even now, my first grader still visits her former teachers when we drop off/pick up her younger brother! The level of care doesn't end when the kids move on; teachers stay in touch with families, and continue to provide support in a number of ways. KinderCare has been a wonderful, enriching experience for our family!

I have had both of my children here since they were only 6 and 8 weeks old. I trust the leadership of this center and its workers completely with my children and tell them every opportunity I have “thank you for taking such great care of my boy/girl.”
I love that this center offers optional activities such a dance and soccer shots. I am very excited to have my oldest start their phonics course this year. I feel this additional program coupled with the curriculum he has had in every room he has been in while at KinderCare (including infants!) will for sure set him up for success once he reaches kindergarten.
The center is welcoming, clean and conveniently located in town. I cannot recommend this KinderCare enough!

My daughter has been attending KinderCare since September and she has loved it. The staff all adore her and she enjoys going each day. Tammy and Sam do an amazing job running the center and are always very helpful if I have questions or need something.

I worked at KinderCare for around six or seven months during my senior year at Virginia Tech. Within my first month, I quickly came to realize the faculty, facility, and the kids were special. I was very sad to have to leave after graduation and would recommend Blacksburg South KinderCare to anyone!! My bosses Tammy and Sam were extremely diligent and hard working. I feel very appreciative to have had such a great experience working while being a full time student.

Please do not send your child here. I have both witnessed and heard of absolutely terrible things going on at this school. When my daughter first started we really liked it but as of this year it has been an absolute mess. -I walked in on a teacher grabbing and yelling at a boy in the 2 year old class. She didn't see me when I walked in and she made him cry terribly. It was heartbreaking. I told the director. "Investigation" was done. Nothing came of it so I pulled my son out of the class despite waiting months for a spot to become available for him. -One of the videos I got sent for Halloween 2021 shows a teacher yelling and grabbing a child in the background. Parents of current students please check your kindercare app, it's probably still on there. -I was pulling into the parking lot one day when I saw a boy around 5 years old running in front of the building unsupervised. He had jumped out of the window and no one noticed. Reported it to front desk who quickly ran out to get him. The director later asked me what happened and laughed it off saying the child wanted to leave early for his vacation to Fiji. -A former teacher told me that there was a child who was on the spectrum. She expressed concern to the director about his well-being and consistent crying as he wasn't adjusting well to the class. She was told to just leave him alone. -One afternoon my husband was picking up my daughter and greeted her new teacher when she told him "this is crazy... I'm not trained for this" referring to her job. Last I checked she is still at the school teaching a younger age group. I pulled out my son from this kindercare because he can't speak yet and I feared he wouldn't be able to tell me if something bad was happening. My daughter stayed because she had friends in class and she would report everything that went on. We moved this year and I wanted to spare her an unnecessary change. That is the only reason why I left her there. Also, I would like to add that I'm not blaming all the teachers. My daughter did have a few wonderful teachers many of whom left, unfortunately. I'm sure there are still good teachers there but management is terrible. It really is an absolute mess. I HIGHLY encourage putting your child in another school but if they have to stay at this kindercare PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE drop in at random times to check in on your child. Ask them about what they see everyday and what goes on.

We couldnt be happier with Kindercare South. The Director Tammy and all of her staff are very professional, curtious, and really do want the best for the kids. We started at the North location and switched when this one opened. Its been almost two years and our daughter has grown so much with them. We love the structured curicculum, time outside, healthy food options and the fact that they provide diapers and wipes is a huge plus. The app is nice too, I enjoy getting updates and pictures throughout the day and its a great way to communicate with teachers and parents. We delt with a pretty severe food allergie her first year there, and the staff was great at navigating that with us. They have handled the pandemic better than I could have hoped.

The best daycare we have ever used. My daughter has absolutely loved it and the staff is beyond amazing. I refer all my friends there and highly recommend them. My daughter also learns so much while she is there.

As a first time mom, questioning decisions comes naturally, but I have never questioned my decision to send my child to KinderCare. The app with near-real time updates is incredible. The teachers are top-notch and truly make you feel that your kid is part of a big happy family while they are there. I have no doubt that my child is having the best time and always comes home happy. He is learning and growing so much because of his time there.

I can't say enough about how professional and friendly the staff and teachers are at this daycare center. My daughter always enjoys her time in the classroom. She's happy to go to the daycare every morning and there are times when I pick her up, she would ask for couple of more minutes to play before we leave. I especially appreciate the daily communication from her teacher, Mrs. Grace, to inform us what the kids have been doing at the center and if there are any issues, we get the notes immediately. The prompt communication is essential for any business to be successful. For KinderCare in general, I truly believe this company is kids/family-centered. I still remember when the pandemic hit last March, I requested to have my daughter stay home and pay for holiday credit. And later the center was closed due to the concern of the pandemic. During that process, KinderCare decided not to charge any tuition, as a way to help the already troubled families. As far as I heard, many other daycares in the nearby areas still charged their families full tuitions even their centers were closed. It means a lot of cost to KinderCare but they did it anyway. Since then, I am truly a supporter of this company and this daycare center. Keep up with your good work!

I have been so comfortable and at ease knowing that the staff here is caring for my baby. After years of infertility struggles I would say I'm a bit of an anxious helicopter mom and everyone at Kindercare is so kind and understanding. They update the app in real time. They provide feedback quickly. They resolve issues should they arise and have the children in the forefront of their decisions. ? I couldn't be happier! Thank you, Kindercare Bburg!
