Today I was buying some Hoop Tea (spikes alcoholic tea) and went to check out. A store manager named Erik was there and refused to sell to me because of my temporary paper drivers license which he says he’s not allowed to take( it is legitimate and scans, I use it at the ABC store, Walmart, 7/11, etc). I also showed him my valid state is CCW license which has my name/info and he refused, saying it’s policy. I asked if we could clear this up with a manager and he said he was a manager. Showed him my old expired drivers license as well and he sent me on my way. A bit embarrassing. This Kroger has taken my ID many times before and once I was asked for a secondary ID so I don’t know what that was about.
I then drove down to the other Kroger and purchased with no issue. I asked if there was a no paper policy and the gentleman responded “we take all government issued ID”s. Next time I need something quickly I’m going to go to the Food Lion I guess

I do pick up orders from here every Sunday morning, it’s convenient and free if you’re over the minimum spend. It’s always a seamless experience and the staff are friendly and willing to help me load my groceries into my reusable bags (only takes about 30 seconds usually) because I don’t want to be taking home 6 or 7 plastic bags with me every week. Sometimes they’ll only have one item in its own big plastic bag and it just feels silly! So shoutout to the staff who help me move everything to my reusable bags. But, occasionally I get one staff member who INVARIABLY has a horrible attitude towards me and makes snide comments about not having time to move my groceries across for me, despite there being no other customers in the pickup area. He acts as though he despises his job and the customers and it makes it an awful experience to shop here. Sometimes if I get him multiple weeks in a row I will shop at the other Kroger to avoid having to interact with him. Every other staff member is lovely, friendly, and more than happy to move my groceries to my reusable bags especially since I put a note about it with every item on my order, but he makes me feel awful every single time.

Guy called Steve. He’s really rude me and my friend who’s international. I been doing shopping here past couple of years. And this guy was really rude to me and my international friend which made really disappointed. I’m not kind of person who leave reviews everywhere and easily but that’s really rude.
