I called several service centers before Prices asking for a tire patch and they either tried to upcharge me or say there was a weeklong wait!!! I went to Prices Service Center and they charged me fairly, worked on my car right away, and was very friendly throughout the whole process. Definitely one of the best and honest service centers in a college town! Thank you :)

I came to visit my daughter for the weekend. She's a college student. When she picked me up at the train station in Roanoke at night, I noticed one of her headlights was out. I stopped by Price's the next morning, hoping that they could help, but figuring they'd have me make an appointment. Someone came out with me right away, and fixed it right there in the lot. Very reasonable price - I'm from NoVA and I think it would've been twice that amount up there. I was so happy they were able to help me out so quickly. I made an appointment for them to look at a rattle I'd been hearing in the back of the car. My daughter was in charge of following up on that. It was another easy fix and another reasonable fee. I'm glad to have someone in Blacksburg she can take her 15 year old car to if she has any trouble while she's away from home.

My tire had a nail and they fixed it up just like that. I went to two other places. One being "Campus Automotive" and "North main auto repair". "Car automotive shouldn't even be a business. I went in and I explained the issue and all they said was give me a sec. That one second was 30minutes. The guy at the front was talking to his other co workers about some food they just ate and some other crap. Then after doing nothing, the guy at the front came out looked at the tire without even searching for the nail and said that'll cost you $30. He said it'll be done in four days. Seeing how terrible the service was I went off to "North Main Auto Repai". They were upfront and honest. Told me that they were pretty stacked but said it'll be better to call up a different place. Checked yelp and there came "Prices Service Center". The people who work are amazing. Told them the issue and bam. It was done in 5minutes. They seemed way busier than car automotive, but this was just like that. They were about half the price and also taught me how to fill it in the future in case I had that same issue. Amazing people!

I love this old station. I guess it's where I'm over the hill.

I don't ever leave reviews unless a place has top of the line service or the worst service. I'm happy to say that Prices Service Center has top of the line service. Although they were unable to take my car in the time I needed it to, due to their business. They were nothing but helpful and even spent about an hour helping me figure out what was wrong and other places I could go to get it fixed. Great service, even better people, highly recommend.

My daughter needed a new brake light and is new to the area. I called and spoke with Robert, who told me to send her that way and he'd check it out . I appreciated how fast and honest this business was. Thank you for taking good care of my daughter. Parents.... Send your VT kids here if they need car services.

Pure gas. The good stuff.

This is quite honestly one of the most under-rated gas stations in Blacksburg. Yes, you must pay inside, and the pumps are ancient, but it all boils down to the type of gas they provide. Here's why I always got gas here, and why you should too, regardless of how old your vehicle is.Almost all modern gasoline stations cut gas with around 10% ethanol (the same you drink, but please don't). This is done primarily as a way to cut cost and use up the sheer massive amount of government subsidized corn produced in the US. Ethanol burns great on it's own, and most cars can tolerate the addition, key word being tolerate. When ethanol is placed in gas, there are a few major drawbacks, some which aren't immediately apparent. However, Pure's gasoline is just that: 100% pure gasoline.First, ethanol loves plastic, in fact, it will eat/degrade plastic much more quickly than pure gasoline. Over time, ethanol based gas can wreck havoc on the plastic hoses and components of your car's fuel delivery system leading to costly repairs. While this need for repair won't happen immediately, ethanol based gas places a dull, constant stress on your car's plastic components.Second, ethanol has a lower energy density than gas. In short, a gallon of ethanol produces less energy than a gallon of gas when burned. This means you'll see an extra 1-3 mpg when you use pure gasoline vs. one cut with 10% ethanol. This translates to an extra 5-15% depending on your car's rated mileage, and almost negates the more "expensive" gasoline cost, making Pure's gas a similar value to other gas stations even given the more expensive purchase price. If you're a local, this is the place to get gas!

Great place for VT students needing to maintenance their cars. I've gone twice now, once for an inspection, and again for an oil change and both times the gentlemen have been so easy to work with. Got me in quickly and did exactly what I asked and nothing more. Fair pricing and very responsive to my questions. Not the kind of place where have to worry about them taking advantage of your lack of car knowledge. The parking lot is a little tricky to maneuver sometimes but it's nothing major. Overall a wonderful resource to the VT community and I'd recommend it to any of my friends needing work on their cars.

On a long trip we need to get our car examined on short notice. We brought it in in the morning and they were able to take care of it that day and allow us to continue with the trip. I really appreciated that they were able to take care of my issue, during what looked like a very busy day.
