We took a little Antique trip this weekend to Blackstone. They nave a pretty big Antique Mall that hubby wanted to stop at. We didn't find anything at the mall, so we stopped in at Pickers Place. The owners were very nice, I enjoyed chatting with the wife. Hubby ended up buying a 1070's style record player/radio console. They were asking $200, but she gave me a $20 discount. The radio works great, but the record player does not work. I told hubby to try it out before he bought it, but he didn't want to.This is where I'm supposed to say "I told you so" ?. Even though it doesn't work, he is still pleased with his purchase.

If you're in Blackstone, and love the thrill of the hunt, Picker's Place is for you! The folks are friendly as all get out, welcoming and full of interesting stories and knowledgeable about their items! It's not a huge place, so it's easy to browse and find some cool things... I found a bunch of vintage postcards, and attached to their business is another shop where I got a unique teapot. The stores are connected, but you pay at separate registers. There's a nice selection of antiques, thrift items, toys, jewelry, glassware, furniture, knick knacks and home décor. I would definitely pop in to see what other gems I can find next time I'm in the neighborhood! The prices are pretty darn good too!!
