While I was at the post office picking up a package, I had to start my deliveries for the day with instacart. I had to fix the car to get it ready because I was planning on starting as soon as I left the post office. I had parked in a side part of the parking lot upon arriving. I saw no signs posting anything about it not being a place for customer's to park at and others were parked in the same area just a few spaces away from the spot I chose because it seems to be the best place for some shade on a very hot day. I had to start my job after I picked up the my package and needed to prep fix my car after before starting my deliveries. So in an attempt to to stay as cool, as well as not be in the way of anyone working or visiting the post office I chose the parking f space I parked in. It took me about 20 minutes to or just a little to get my car in order after I came back outside from the post office. I did everything I do at another place of business I might patronize when I'm getting ready to start my job and need move things or organize the car I use. That means I do my best to do things quickly, stay out of anyone's way, I feel I'm respectful to the places I might be at during the time when I'm needing to prepare for work so that I can start in the quickest manner possible whenever I'm needed. I am careful to not make a mess, cause any damage, disrupt anything, cause anything out of the ordinary to to happen (such as be loud or noticable), not cause anything that might make things harder on others due to my being there (like using resources on sites like trashcans, supplies, restrooms and like such even if they are available for use to customers or the public) or any other actions I feel that could reflect negatively on me. That's not how I want to be viewed and I also appreciate being able to ready myself when not at home. I don't want to take advantage of any situation but was made to feel I was by a worker. Currently anything unable to fit inside the mail box is being held for us at this post office due to an injury recieved by our driver temporarily leaving them unable to perform their job tasks as they had in the past. Before the injury anything being too large for the mailbox was delivered without issue, either to us in person or left I'm a safe and secure location on our porch if we were unavailable at time of delivery. During the absence of our regular worker our packages were getting left without an regard to where, how, when or if the package was placed by those filling in for the regularly driver. This includes thrown into overgrown patches beside the driveway not kept up due to inaccessibility reasons, almost in the main road, unprotected from weather, and even found inside a building not belonging or used by us located at the bottom of our driveway he bottom shelf our driveway owned by our landlord. This is the reason we had to contact the post office to find out why this was happening and where our missing packages might be. We had to request the packages to large for the mailbox be held after discussing the issue and made to feel pretty much shrugged off. It came across on our end as if we should not be concerned and was in the wrong for saying anything about the issue. It made it seem to us like the post office was suggesting we were in the wrong if anything for bringing up concerns about the repeat incident. It seems we were being told to just be happy to have received any deliveries we did received....regardless of it's condition, how many times it happened or how much effort we had to put into finding why this was happening. If the USPS wasn't worried therefore we should the same and because we were bringing it up we were in the wrong not the worker or workers that delivered the packages, as this was normal delivery practice. Since this was normal delivery practice by the post workers there wasnt anything that needed to be done, nothing that could be done or would be done to change the delivery practice. I look forward to the regular drive

Dana saved the day for family. We messed up our passport appointment times and she took care of four of us in record time. Exemplary customer service

Rude and short tempered employees. Miserable experience for the only post office in botetourt with passport services etc. and rude staff. Wish the Troutville location was more equipped with blue ridges services instead; very nice and helpful people there. Never thought I’d leave a bad review about a post office of all places:/

The post office itself is great but the individuals delivering for them. That is another story! How wide open roads and driveways are not accessible on such a regular basis and roads with entirely different names can be so mixed up with modern GPS is beyond me. Here and there people make mistakes. That is life. When it turns into a somewhat regular occurance, then you have an issue.

I went in to get a simple passport renewal but came to find out I had to reapply which needs an appointment. Tracy helped me at this branch and she was fantastic. Even though I needed an appointment she helped me anyway and I was very grateful for her help and her wonderful personality. We need more Tracy's working at post offices around the country.
