The only detractor was a rather loud wedding party but we got seated far enough away that it was mostly quiet once we were seated. Food and the service was excellent.

Always a great culinary experience at Clyde's! Their take in the french toast was amazing.
About the restaurant: While evenings tend to be the busiest times here --- and, yes, you can and should make reservations --- middays are quiet enough so patrons can browse the premises and soak up the country-in-the-suburbs atmosphere. It's hard to believe that with its grounds and mini farm out back that this Clyde's is adjacent to the burgeoning Virginia suburban developments. Indeed, the setting and revamped farmhouse carefully reconstruct an earlier-era Virginia of landed gentry and rural splendor. Even the interiors reflect gentility: the Audubon room is brightened by multiple Currier and Ives' style bird prints, while the Carriage room with its overhead buggies and harnesses hanging on the walls suggest that farm life rolled on smoothly.Food & Drinks: But the modern-day menu is all-American contemporary, featuring local produce and hormone-free beef. Dinner specials might range from maple-roasted acorn squash to broiled swordfish to lamb stew. For dessert, indulge in caramel apple cheesecake or butterscotch bread pudding. Beverage-wise, choose from several local beers on draft, wine and classic or seasonal cocktails.
