This was my 1st experience at this salon, and it did not disappoint! My stylist Youg, was phenomenal! Her attention to detail was incredible! Shes literally the sweetest! The salon itself is extremely inviting! Everyone there is so happy and I absolutely love that! Penny is super personable, she treats you like she’s known you forever! Thank you all for such a great experience!

Giving 4 overall because we can only speak to one person there who we really like, Lily. Lily gets 5 stars for sure for her cuts and style.
7/27/24: Updated to 5 stars all for Lily and the biz is run well too. I don’t give out excellent reviews often but she deserves it. Got a call the day before confirming. But, Lily is TALENTED. Many other talented people there I am sure.
Requested style: Partial color on crown and long layered cut and style.

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD FOR THE BLATANT RUDENESS I JUST RECEIVED FROM THE OWNER, KENNY, ON THE PHONE. THAT IS NOT WHAT I EXPECT FROM A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER IN BURKE, VA! I wanted to discuss his pedicure services with him. I explained to him that as a result of recent knee surgery, I have difficulty bending my knee, but I can walk on stairs. He kept on saying if I have mobility issues that I should go elsewhere. I told him that his salon, which also does pedicures, was recommended by someone on FB who went there for a pedicure, has issues bending her knee and was pleased with the service she received. I wanted to ask him a few questions. He didn't want to hear anything I had to ask, kept on referencing mobility issues, told me to go elsewhere and HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME!!' HOW INCREDIBLY RUDE!!!!

My first time at Five Star Hair & Nails and I'm happy to say that I've found a new hairdresser for life. Giselle was patient and understanding. She made some great suggestions on hair color and care. I will definitely be back. It's honestly the best cut and color I've had in a very long time.

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair styled by an amazing professional. The stylist's attention to detail, creativity, and ability to understand exactly what I wanted left me extremely satisfied. I walked out of the salon, feeling confident and like a new man with my new hairstyle. I have been getting compliments from my female co-workers all week. Sooyoung is more than a stylist, she is an ARTIST!! 5 ? ? ? ? ?

absolultely worst nail and hair salon.The workers were disgusting, I saw one pick their nose and rub it on the counter . It was honestly giving off kidnapper old men vibes and my nails came out chunky and the polish came of right after application. The ferocious lady at the counter charged me for picking out the red color and I requested Christmas and I got some puke looking combination of red and chunks of my old yellow polish that she failed to remove. It smelled of my grandma's gym socks from 1897. Outside, an old man asked if he could sniff my hair and when he did, rats came out and his face was covered with dandruff and rat feces.

It was my first time going to this salon and Sooyoung was super knowledgeable and gave me advices on what would look good on me. She listened and chose the best hair style for me. Will definitely come back!

My teen had a picture of a new hairstyle he wanted. First time he’s ever cared. So, we came here for the first time. Fantastic! Everyone was extremely friendly, and it was just a very relaxing atmosphere. The stylist did an amazing job, my son is so happy! This was my first time here and I loved it!! I just happened to find the salon on Google. Gayle was my stylist and she was amazing. She showed this tired mama (i.e. me) how to style my hair easily and talked me through any questions about my hair. I couldn’t have asked for a better cut!!

This was my first time here and I had partial highlights and a cut by Farah. She did exactly what I asked and it turned out beautiful! I love the color so much. She was very kind and really listened to what I asked for. Other stylists I've been to I didn't feel reallt listened to what I asked for. I will def be coming back!
