Dr. Rhymes and his staff are really caring and fantastic. We've been going there for 2 or 3 years now and I drive 30+ minutes because the care they provide is worth it. Prices for routine exams and vaccines are very reasonable. Dr. Rhymes will thoroughly explain all available options for more serious cases. He'll even follow up with calls on the weekend with any updates or to just check in. I trust this office with my dog's care.

First and foremost, I have been with Parkway for 10 years. Dr. Rhymes and his whole entire team are absolutely AMAZING! From The front desk team, to the office manager to the vet techs and all of the doctors. We feel More like we are apart of a family rather than a customer. Every doctor there I have always had an outstanding experience with my cats and dogs. They've been there for the ups and downs, the emergency calls, etc. We took our cat Freckles to the vet to see Dr. Strickland today for a routine shotI am writing to share my excitement for an update to their exam room. I was absolutely amazed with the cat tv that was placed on the wall in the exam room. How very thoughtful as I have a very anxious cat. My cat loved it and I could tell it really helped add to the distraction of being at the vet for him and most certainly relaxed him. Well he was certainly more calm than usual. Which says ALOT! Thank you Parkway!

I’ve been taking my cat here for years. The front staff, the vets and the vet techs are all amazing and sincerely care about your pet. Dr Rhymes has been great and is available for my questions and concerns. Omari helped us out a lot this morning with my 18 year old cat. She’s been having issues with mats in her fur. He was so kind and gentle with her and showed/explained how to best groom her going forward. It was a huge relief to have that done and I’m sure she feels so much better! Thanks again to Dr Rhymes, Omari and the wonderful front desk team at Parkway Vet!

Always helpful, always friendly and as always taking care of all of my dogs. Even at the deepest time of need when I had to put them down, they were always so compassionate and understanding and made it easy for that decision to be made and as you all know if you've ever had to put a pet down, there's nothing easy about it

A better bedside manner would be nice. The vet doc barely touched my dog. She left the room to answer a call and when I told her I was having my dog neutered in September she said "Why are you waiting so long?" Super condescending. I also told her that the tech only cut my dog's front paw nails (he told me when he returned my dog to the room that there was nothing to trim off the back paws) and she said, " I saw him cut the back nails." I couldn't believe her, she was calling me a lier! 26 dollars for he front paw trim! My appointment was at 2pm and I waited until 2:25pm to be seen properly.

The vets are Parkway Vet are simply the best, hands down. Compassionate and loving, caring and knowledgeable. I've had three cats now who have been cared for by Dr. Rhymes. They all eventually needed to be helped across the threshold in their later teens or twenties, and the way Dr Rhymes in particular took the time to make house calls to let them go in the most peaceful way, at home with their loved ones.... well, it's always gut wrenching, but he and his assistant made it easier, and gave us the time to process and grieve.
I could not recommend them enough for any pet owner, and if they're still operating when I can next open my heart to an animal, they'll be the ones to help me care for them.
Thank you.

Dr Rhymes is the best! He takes his time to explain everything. I always feel confident that my dogs are getting the best and honest care possible. I've been going there for 15 years and travel 45 minutes to get there, worth ever minute of my drive!

I only go to this vet as the rescue I foster for uses them. The vet has always been very responsive and helpful. He calls back regarding health issues with my foster in a timely manner and takes all concerns I have seriously and is very proactive. I personally would not go here though, because the front desk staff are awful. I find it interesting there are many reviews all stating the same thing yet nothing seems to be done. The front desk receptionists are all rude and extremely unhelpful. When checking in, they know who my foster dog is on sight, but always ask me rudely what he is there for, as it they are unaware. He recently had an appointment scheduled and I received two different confirmation phone calls and both calls gave a different drop off time. I have had a foster that barked and barked at other dogs. Instantly, when I walked into the vets there was another dog and he began barking, so I was moving him off to the side. As I was doing this the front desk worker very rudely told me to take him to the side, which I was already doing. These people are the first you see at the practice and they have absolutely no social skills. After one appointment when I was waiting for my dog to be brought out the front desk workers were checking an older women out and her dog. After she left all three of them were mocking her and openly making fun of her. It was completely unprofessional and shocking. Again, the vet has been great, but I dread taking my foster dog there, because of them- it is always such an unpleasant experience.

Writing for my Mother who does not have a Yelp account: I have loved and used this practice for the past 40 years! The veterinarians are all wonderful. I had my 14 yr old Addisons dog there just a couple of weeks ago for a lab draw. He has them done every 3 months. He has to be sedated and it takes several days after for him to recover from his visit (he cannot handle stress with Addisons). Just a couple of days after that last visit we received notice that he needed a distemper vaccine. I was irritated that it wasn't done while he was there and decided to wait until his next blood draw. Today I called for a heartworm medication refill and was told I would have to bring him in for a heartworm test before they would give me his medicine. The test should have been done two weeks ago when he had his blood drawn! This decision was made by the front desk without consulting a vet. I clearly explained my dog's condition and response to visits and was literally brushed off with an "I'm so sorry." This is clearly an issue with techs not checking the chart when he was in for his visit and a front desk that makes standard patient decisions and not consulting the vets in special cases. I have decided, after 40 years of being a loyal client, that I am considering leaving the practice for the sake of my dog.

Dr. Rhymes and his staff are all very good at what they do. My dog started coming here during Covid after a family member recommended them. I drive a distance because I want the best for my dog. Dr. Rhymes addressed my dogs issues and always communicated with me about the possibilities of my dog needing surgery. He was honest and I appreciate that. After a year of my dog having this issue on and off, we decided to move forward surgery because we knew that was the only option left. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome for my dog. The surgery center that was recommended was also top notch. The staff at Parkway has always made me and my dog feel welcome and comfortable, especially when you couldn't go in and accompany your dog during Covid. Overall, I can't say enough about how happy I am that I chose Parkway to care for my dog.

Dr. Rymes is a top notch vet with excellent diagnostic acumen. He caught our dog's serious illness in an early stage (our previous vet missed it) so we could keep him healthy longer by putting him a special diet. Excellent bedside manner. He's honest and will tell you when your pet would be best served by a veterinary specialist. Our neighbor has taken her pets to Dr. Rymes for years and recommended him to us. We are glad she did...

We have been taking our cats to Parkway for over 25 years and they have always been exceptional. I especially like that most of the front desk/office staff are long-time employees and know us and our cats.
