Sale prices don't ring up as advertised. Almost every time I have gone here, the sale prices don't ring up right and I have to go to the customer service desk to have it fixed. Last time it was sodas, buy two get two, today it was berries 2.99/ea if you buy three. This is at least the 3rd time this has happened to me at this store and it's not like it's 3 times out of 100 it's like three times out of 10, since this is not my normal grocery store.

Good Safeway, open late and the staff are nice. I like this place and I'm glad it's not too far from me in case I need something late in the night.

Checkout could not figure out how to take apple pay. Used same card to pay finally. Besides ridiculous high prices software or backend implementation is terrible. Shop somewhere else.

This has become my go to grocery store. Prices are comparable with other grocery stores, but the rewards that make it worthwhile. The produce is generally good, though there was a recent stretch a few items (staples in my house) weren't looking good. Not that I frequent it often, but the bakery is quite good too.The only other issue is the front end- they're very lightly staffed. The cashiers are all friendly, but I usually use the self checkout because there's often only one register open when I'm there.

My wife and I recently visited Safeway at Old Keene Mill Road, Lee Chapel. We were trying to find a particular item but had no luck finding it on our own, so we went to the front counter looking for help Locating this item. We spoke with Anthony, the customer service manager inquiring about the location of this product. Anthony was friendly, Engaging, and customer-oriented. He was very polite and customer-focused. Anthony took time out of his schedule to help me and my wife find this item. It took about 10 or 15 minutes of his time to locate this item. He provided me and my wife with world-class customer service and was attentive to our needs. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate Anthony and his leadership and excellent customer service to me and my family. Safeway is Fortunate to have such a great employee Like Anthony on our staff. It's hard to find good employees these days. Safeway is very lucky to have such an excellent young man kudos to Anthony and his leadership and the Safeway team

Disappointing Customer Service Experience at SafewayDear Safeway Management Team,I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the poor service attitude and unfriendly behavior I experienced at your store recently. As a regular customer who frequents Safeway, I have always expected courteous, professional, and friendly service during my shopping visits. However, my recent experience fell far short of my expectations.First and foremost, I noticed that several employees displayed an extremely indifferent and impatient attitude towards customers. When I had inquiries or needed assistance, their responses made me feel ignored and unimportant. I attempted to seek help, but they seemed to answer my questions half-heartedly, without genuinely caring or respecting my needs.Furthermore, I encountered an awkward interaction where one employee exhibited a noticeably unfriendly attitude towards me. When I asked for information about a particular product, their response was condescending and mocking, leaving me feeling ridiculed. Such behavior not only made me feel disregarded but also resulted in an unpleasant shopping experience.Moreover, I witnessed some employees displaying disrespectful and impolite behavior when interacting with other customers. They used a harsh tone and showed impatience when addressing customer inquiries. This level of service attitude is undoubtedly unacceptable and reflects poorly on the overall image of your store.As a customer, I value the service attitude of supermarket employees greatly. I believe that a positive service approach enhances customer satisfaction and contributes to creating a friendly and welcoming shopping environment. However, I was deeply disappointed by my recent shopping experience at Safeway, where the unfavorable service attitude made me reconsider whether to continue choosing Safeway as my shopping destination.I kindly request that you take my concerns seriously and take measures to improve the service attitude of your employees. Provide them with training and regular supervision to ensure they consistently treat customers with friendliness and professionalism.
