If rotten food, long lines, and getting overcharged are your bag, you've come to the right place. The safeway hard boiled eggs always smell rotten, even the O Organics ones. I got tired of the lines and tried grocery pickup. I've made several grocery pickup orders and 100% have had 1 or more of the following: bad food (rotten eggs, deli cheese with ham flakes all over it [I'm kosher]), missing items, and nearly always OVERCHARGED. I reached out to to customer service and the DM, but they never got back to me. It must be their standard practice to overcharge. I don't know why else they wouldn't get back to me about this. They already had a 42 million class action settlement (Martin v Safeway) but I guess they still haven't learned their lesson.

This store is poorly managed. They had issues understanding appropriate levels of staffing before covid. Now? There are all of 2 staff members at the front of the store even at the busiest times.

I was so disappointed with my Safeway experience tonight. Zero customer service and when I asked for assistance I was treated as though I was bothering them. Never going back to this Safeway again.

I never thought I would write a review for a grocery store, but this safeway is so consistently terrible that I have to let others know. Over the past year I have had consistently bad experiences every time I visit this grocery store. Their staff are unfriendly and unhelpful- specifically their cashiers desperately need better training. Every time I have gone to the cashier with a vegetable that is not in the norm (Serrano pepper, Poblano pepper, etc.) they have no idea what the code is or how to find it and have to call over another employee. This is not only frustrating but slows down the entire checkout line. Additionally, their sale prices consistently do not come off at checkout- I have had to go to customer service several times after checking my receipt to get a refund for something that didn't come off. Their self checkout is also a disaster- the machines are slow and the weights need to be calibrated. One time the man who supervises the self checkout lanes actually yelled at me for bringing a full cart to checkout, saying that I should've gone to a cashier line (there is no item limit for self checkout). Another time, the machine I was using froze after an employee tried to fix the price on an item (yet again their sales not ringing as advertised) and at the instruction of the employee, I had to check out my entire order again MYSELF at another station. Finally, they have had a plastic covering (looks like Glad press n seal) over their credit card keypads since the start of COVID- not only does this make no sense, as they do not change it between customers, but is actually serving the opposite purpose of harboring bacteria since it does not seem like they clean the ripped and frayed plastic at any point. Will sadly need to find another grocery store further from my house!

I am very happy with this Safeway. The staff is friendly, the shelving and inventory is really good, AND there's a Starbucks and seating area in there. I sometimes get a cup of coffee, and sit while I make my shopping list. There is an Asian lady who is a cashier and has been there for a long time - she's my favorite employee- letting me know when things are on sale and what the deals are.

Big selection although it is dimly lit, which makes the whole shopping experience rather depressing. It is extremely expensive. If you do not have a Safeway card I would suggest skipping this store; however, even with the card it is still relatively pricy. On the plus side, the staff is hard-working and friendly.

We're lined up down the aisles. Maybe open more registers? Other than this, great grocery store.

I WANT TO GIVE SAFEWAY A BETTER RATING BECAUSE THEY ARE MY NEIGHBORHOOD SUPERMARKET. 1. By and large, I have ordinary dealings at Safeway and have found some personnel there work hard and are friendly enough. 2. But, I went to the Deli today and a guy who has served me well was there but I got an newbie to help me. It was so bad that instead of ordering 3 lbs of could cuts, I only ordered 1 lb and got out as quickly as I could to cut my losses. 3. I don't mind that Safeway seems to employ handicapped individuals but as I another customer agreed, we have our limits no matter how liberal we like to think we are. 4. First, This guy didn't couldn't find the roll to cut. He had to ask the other guy. Then, he couldn't open it and went to the back sink with the roll to open it and that made me suspicious so I asked the other clerk "what's going on?" When he came back, the clerk I had just asked told him, there is another sink right there near the slicers. I still don't know what that was all about. 5. Then came the slicing. He seemed to have a hard time. It wouldn't slide into the machine but sputtered across the blade. So, he turned to the other guy, who took one look and said, "You have to turn the machine on!" (poker-faced!). What had I gotten myself into?! 6. Then, I asked to divide the bag into 2 half pound halves. So, he took 1/4 and threw it into another bag. Hmm. Not enough. So, he takes 1-2 slices and throws them into the bag -- still not enough. And another slice -- still not enough. OMG! OMG!!! "OK!! Good enough!!!", I said. ( I didn't really want him manhandling every slice !! Their cold cuts go bad within a week and that's why I asked to divide them up so I can freeze half. ) So, ended up with 2/3 lb and 1/3 lb bags. Not what I wanted but I just wanted it to end!! 7. Finally, he couldn't find the type cold cut number to put into the machine and had to ask. It was posted right in front of his face. So, once I got the label on the bigger bag, I was handed two still opened bags, one unlabeled. What a disaster!!! I will walk away when I see this guy next time. I couldn't stand it. Why can't Safeway remove him if he doesn't cut the mustard!!! (or the cold cuts!) Because, it's almost Thanksgiving I will give Safeway 2 stars, when I actually mean to give only 1. I suppose I'm paying it forward, ever hopeful ... . I will pray for Safeway tonight -- and for its customers. Your welcome.

Not sure why yelp keep glitching and not painting my reviews hmm! It was my daughter's birthday, I went into Safeway to grabbed a cake, wait, wait and wait. Nobody was at the bakery, walked to the front found somebody to help me. The cake as you can see it look pretty, however taste wise not so much. I'm glad I had Plan B wit a cake from giant. Nope never buying a cake here ever again. 3 starts as I still buy a few other things. After all is near my work so it's convenience.

I came in here today because its my day off and we needed to re-stock the refrigerator. The first thing I noticed when walking in was the produce section. It is quite robust, and I could see right away that the fruits were very fresh. One thing that I could not find was a salad bar which would have been a nice thing for lunch. I settled on prepared salad greens and some low fat dressing. The meat and seafood sections were equally abundant. I walked passed the pharmacy which features a clinic, and it seemed nice too! They had some nice deals on some of the other prepared food also so I picked up an order if 6 chicken breasts for later in tonight. Since we came in right around noon, there were only a handful of customers, so the place was fairly quiet. After about 40 minutes we were able to fill-in the cart half way which should hold us until next weekend. The store was clean and the few employees that I did see seemed professional also.

O stars is not a rating option but this store deserves a zero. I rarely go in, even though it is the market closest to me, because I've never left without saying "I hate this store" at least once or twice, either under my breath or to anyone who happens to be standing nearby, and I usually get some level of commiserating response in return. So today's visit was due to running short on time and being a little tired - exactly the circumstances one would hope their local grocery store would pull through for them and have everything they need and in the best condition possible. Safeway failed again. Out of parsley, out of basil except for the tiny bubble packs, the few ears of corn they had left weren't anything that was coming home with me (they had many of the prepackaged trays of corn but I'd been fooled by that before), they were out of Fritos, the frozen shrimp smelled terrible when I opened the package at home, out of the yogurt my family likes... Never again!

The store gets three stars but the customer service gets two in my opinion. This store is pretty big and almost always has what I'm looking for. I'm not a fan of asking questions to employees on where to find things but I am a fan of buying lotto tickets or asking for rain checks. The employees I have encountered seem nice and overwhelmed but the customer service seems to lack employees. I have gone to ask for rain checks or lottery tickets and it takes forever for someone to help you. I really hope they hire more people because on weekends lines can be long in both self checkout and regular check out. If you are ever in a rush and need a quick trip, I suggest late evening or early morning shopping.

As of late 2018, this Safeway made the smart choice and added the self check out stations. There are still not enough people working at this location to account for the check our lines for items that are harder to purchase or cannot purchase at self check out (alcohol, gift cards). I go there if I absolutely have to. Otherwise I go to the Safeway by the Kohl's off of Burke Centre Parkway. There are lots of high school kids who work there so there are always speedy checkouts.
