“We feel so honored to have been chosen as family of the month! As new parents, we were very careful choosing a place to entrust the care of our son. Everyone at Winwood goes above and beyond to create a nurturing and enriching environment for all children. The caregivers are attentive, caring and well trained. It's evident that they genuinely care about the well-being and development of each child. They create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that puts both children and parents at ease. We have been impressed with the range of educational activities. The curriculum is age-appropriate and designed to stimulate learning through play. It's evident that the staff is committed to fostering both cognitive and social development. Winwood has provided a safe and enriching environment for our son. We are grateful for the positive impact they've had on our son's development. It's clear that the staff is passionate about their work, and we wholeheartedly appreciate the love, support and safekeeping of our son.”

“My 4 year old son has been attending The Compass School for a little over a year. I was hesitant about transferring schools despite being unhappy with his last school. A lot of the parents from his previous school shared my concerns but told me I shouldn't expect too much from any daycare because the staff is never properly trained and administrative staff usually don't care but so much. I figured better the devil I know then the one I don't but after a series of ridiculous, avoidable and neglectful incidents I made the leap to The Compass School. This has been one of the best decision as a mother that I have made for my son and I wish I had known about this school years ago.To start, the Administrative staff CARE about the children and their families. Not the kind of care where they nod and smile at your request or say whatever it is you want to hear but genuinely care. I have never walked in without hearing a hello from them or left without hearing a goodbye. If my son misses a day at school due to an illness, I either receive a text/phone call from the staff checking on him.The teachers, my favorite part, are amazing. I've been blessed to have teachers who have entertained my crazy motherly request. They've been so observant and hands on that it often feels like I'm co-parenting with them and that is such a blessing. Everyday I receive pictures of how my son's day went and every week he brings home a journal that shares what they did during the week. The school is Reggio Emilia inspired which I love. They follow the interest of the children and expand it into an actual curriculum. So if the kids want to learn about dinosaurs they learn about dinosaurs while the teachers incorporate math, history, science and art. They also have annual reviews to let you know how your children are doing and they are very THOROUGH! I feel like I'm building a super human with their help.Throughout the year they have many events and they're during different parts of the day so if you can't attend one there is surely another one for you coming up. The events are breakfast, lunch, dinner, ice cream, pizza, book fairs etc I've met some awesome moms during these events. Meeting these other mothers have helped with play dates, parenting advice and so much more. There is also no guessing as to what their lunch is because they provide parents with a menu every month and if anything is changed you know before your child is eating it. BTW, there is a vegetarian option and I know first hand they work closely and diligently with parents whose children have allergies or are on a vegan diet. Also,I work in Public Safety so the fact that they are almost always open is extremely helpful.Overall, I would and have recommended this school to all of my family and friends looking for childcare. They're staff is so well trained that a lot of them babysit on the side to allow parents to take that date night. You shouldn't have to settle when it comes to the care of your children. I wish I had found this school sooner and that they continued on past Kindergarten but I'm very happy and not in a complacent way. My son told me to tell you he likes the school too.”

“Manassas Early Learning Center is an amazing place to send your child/children! After many years of experience, I can honestly say each year was wonderful. The first time I walked in the school, I immediately felt at ease. You walk in and immediately get the sense that happiness and creativity are oozing out. There's always laughter, play and teachers engaged with the children on their level. And the teachers are so caring, thoughtful and kind. I've never once felt unsure of sending them there in fear they wouldn't be cared for. I cannot say enough good things about ELC. My kids have thrived, learned, made great friends and memories. I'm grateful for ELC and their amazing staff. They have heart and it's just what you want in a preschool!”

“We have been with RMS for six years because it IS a school that exceeds five stars. The classes are small so the students receive plenty of individual attention, but more importantly they learn the importance of working independently, as a part of a team and all together as part of a community.RMS also has a beautiful Atrium where the students experience the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. The students do activities that require them to step outside of their comfort zone as they host the Living Souls museum or put on children's operas such as Harlequin or Persephone.Community service is another area where the RMS students are active such as helping with the St Lucy project, sponsoring food drives and clothing drives. If you are looking for a school where your child will grow academically and spiritually you definitely want to be a part of RMS.”

“Alpha-Bet is an amazing preschool. As a parent, I probably made as many friends there as my boys did. They are a parent-run cooperative preschool, allowing families to be a part of their child's preschool experience. Whether you assist in the classroom or help out with tasks outside of the normal school day, you will feel the joy of being part of the Alpha-bet family. The teachers strive to provide a safe and caring environment that your child will be excited to visit.”

“I had three littles attending Willowcreek - infant, twos, and threes/pre-preschool and we had a wonderful experience. The infant room is clean and a peaceful place to leave my little girl. They have music playing and plenty of age appropriate toys and books. Included in my daughter’s report card was amount of tummy time, bottles (amount and time), naps, and diapers. I came mid-day to nurse when I forgot my pump one day and they allowed me to sit in the rocker during nap time with my baby and it was so peaceful! The twos was a fun and exciting class! My little boy had so much fun with the centers and activities available. They had singing and circle time when we arrived in the morning and he would jump right in. The teacher always let me know if he needed a jacket or other necessity and I could tell she was very capable of caring for my son. He is an energetic boy and he seemed to always have a lot of fun.The threes had lots of exploration and learning activities. My daughter had a tough time with me leaving her (no previous daycare experience) but the helpers who float from class to class went out of their way to welcome her. She would always smile and give them big hugs when she saw them which made my momma heart happy. Drop off may have been tough for her, but she’d always come home with a smile and tell me all about her day.We relocated which is why we changed schools, but I would recommend Willowcreek to anyone!”

“Both of our boys have gone here, and we couldn't be happier. The older one graduated from the Pre-K program this year and was academically prepared for school far beyond our expectations. Our youngest is still enrolled there and will be throughout Pre-K. Our boys are a little on the wild side, but the teachers were/are extremely patient and worked to find ways to connect with and teach them. Overall, a great place where our boys are happy.”

“Professional, clean, and loving. The staff and director are absolutely wonderful and you can tell they really nurture the children and care. I am a type A helicopter mom and have been so impressed how this daycare has cared for my infant. They provide a daily report so I know exactly how much he ate and slept and tummy time etc. I call every day and check on my son and they are always so kind about it. We toured almost every daycare in the area and this was by far the BEST. Love love love it!”
