“Top notch. I brought in an antique table lamp for renovation (tightening, new felt for the bottom, and replacement of an impossible-to-reach inside bulb). They took excellent care of it for a most reasonable price. Thanks, guys!”

“Cute store that has more modern country decor items than vintage/antiques. Found some great MCM finds regardless. Definitely worth a browse every once in awhile to see what’s new.”

“There are so many beautiful items in this shop, and everything is very reasonable. The food is wonderful, too. The homemade donuts were the best I've ever had, and the pimento cheese sandwich was delicious.”

“I was instantly in love with this store. So many fun items and memories. I found things I’ve never seen before! I only had a short time, wish I had more time. I will be back, maybe even take a vacation day and spend more time. Great variety, friendly owner. My favorite vintage toy store!”

“Must visit when in the area! I am not a primitive decor collector but this store has so much more decor that really attracted me! The staff was so helpful and friendly. I only wish they were on my Main Street! Lovely floral section….greenery and flowers look like fresh picked. Wonderful displays to enhance any home decor. ❤️”

“Just picked up this incredible piece of cable end from the USCGC Tamaroa at Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke, VA. The Tamaroa is a legendary ship with a long and heroic history of saving lives—including during the infamous 1991 “Perfect Storm.” While other ships fled from the monster storm, the Tamaroa and her brave crew charged headlong into the worst of it to rescue others, proving their unwavering commitment to service and heroism.

One of the employees at Black Dog Salvage was kind enough to bring me into the back and show me some cable and other relics from this incredible ship. He was going to cut me a small section of cable, but then we found this complete cable end instead! Owning a piece of history like this—one that endured the storm’s fury and carried out countless rescues—means the world to me. It’s a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the men and women who served on her. So proud to own this amazing piece of maritime history! Thank you Black Dog Salvage for preserving such an incredible piece of history!”

“Tom and his team did a FANTASTIC job of helping us keep the history with our conference room table. His design ideas, detail, craftsmanship, and communication was refreshing, and on point during the project. We added a new base, re-finished the table top, and added power ports. He actually finished early, and was then willing to add one last detail for us (our original logo), which turned out great! We plan on using Ghent Hill again in the future, would definitely recommend!”

“Nice little shop. Clean store and polite staff. Store is real tight though, slender aisles and limited parking. A lot of the shops are very overpriced though. Typically 20% or more over Ebay pricing including shipping.”

“Larger than it looks from the outside, this store has a great selection of items big and small. As usual with vendor malls, some booths are better value than others, but it was definitely worth a stop for those who love antiquing!”

“This Roanoke Coin Exchange was a wonderful coin shop! He had a full and extensive collection of coins on full display- several full trays of Morgan Silver Dollars and many other US type coins. Also had a large collection of foreign older world coins! Exciting and just the kind of store I like visiting. The older gentleman/proprietor was helpful/pleasant and allowed me to look for over a half hour through various trays and collections of coins.I bought a bunch of coins that I desired for my collection and was very pleased with the experience!I highly recommend you ignore the other poor reviews, like I did! You will be glad you visited the shop!”
