I hired Arko Moving to relocate to my new home and didn’t regret it a second. The professional and caring staff did a great job taking care of my belongings. No damage of any sort. I highly recommend ARKO Moving if you're looking for a reliable moving company in DC and MD! I discovered this company through a friend's recommendation. Before committing, I reviewed their feedback and noticed some negative reviews about the movers. Concerned, I discussed these with Arthur, the owner of ARKO Moving. He kindly explained that these issues usually arose from logistical oversights, such as not reserving the elevator or securing the loading dock for truck parking.
On moving day, all my worries disappeared. The movers exceeded my expectations in every way. Arthur and my friend were absolutely right about the quality of service. My move from College Park to DC took only 2.5 hours, which was much quicker than I expected. The movers even arrived at my new place earlier than I did. I was particularly impressed by how kind and professional the movers were.

We were looking to hire movers for our 4th time. We moved from out-of state and did our first local move in Alexandria. We did not have the best experience. The movers showed up about 45 minutes late, stating they had truck issues. We did an initial walkthrough, and we thought that the movers moved fairly slow. We started helping and bringing boxes to the truck. They struggled getting a couch up from our basement where the initial movers did not. This seemed to take them 15 minutes. They left some marks on the walls at the loading location. Then, at the unload, the same thing as move dragged on, and we had our first damaged piece of furniture. Somehow the side glass broke on our cabinet, and we had other scratched items. Not best moving experience.

I really love this company. Used them several times and they are always supersede my expectation. If to take in consideration that I am a control freak ? I could completely relax and leave everything to the guys! Real hard workers, easy to deal with, careful with all your stuff. I recommend Arko movers to whoever needs moving service and never heard negative reviews back!

TLDR: The owner (Artur) ultimately forced us to leave this review due to his incompetence and stubbornness. The actual movers were very nice, however we ended up paying a lot more due to owner’s mistakes.Full review: Last year I used a different moving company and it was the easiest and fastest move ever. It took them only 2 hours to move EVERYTHING and they were so fast I left them $100 tip. Sadly this year they were fully booked for September so I had to get quotes online from other companies.My friend had recently moved from a three story townhouse to another place and they highly recommended their movers, so I booked them. She paid $600 for the whole thing including tips (it took them only three hours!). Again, she had a large townhouse and tons of stuff and only paid this much.Artur (the owner of ARKO) reached out to my husband over the phone and offered to beat the price.On the day of our move Artur COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT US, and only sent movers 3 hours late. The worst part is that the truck was oversized and didn’t fit the loading dock! His excuse was that this only happens 5% of times, so he fails to see an issue here.Because of that it took our movers THREE hours just to load the truck for a tiny 1 bedroom.After the move was over we were charged $870. We were quoted twice less with other companies! Artur then called my husband and spent 30 minutes explaining how none of it was his fault.The owner never apologized, never owned up his mistakes and never beat the price of other companies. Very disappointing experience and horrible customer service.

Had a horrible experience with Artur. Moving a small 1 br apartment took 6 hours and almost $900. This is absolutely ridiculous and literally any other company I contacted offered this service for half the price. Artur was great at marketing but terrible at delivering actual results, meeting client’s expectations and beating other offers as he promised initially. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
