Every time I go to pick up my prescription, they struggle to locate it, and it seems they overlook updating the request.

It’s convenient but not the best, definitely pricey for the quality you get.

The selection is nice, quite pricey. But the most annoying painful experiences with their terrible self-service checkout those machines will accuse you of no putting items in the bagging area and make the whole check process just not worth shopping here.

I have noticed that prices at this Giant in recent years have increased to the point that Wegman's is now cheaper than Giant. I only go to this location for the few things that Wegman's does not carry. It's kind of sad, because this is my neighborhood Giant that I used to shop at religiously, but I cannot justify the costs any longer as my normal shopping store.

I don’t think Giant deserves a low rating considering most of their staff is super nice and helpful, they always have what you need in stock, and they are clean! But they are a little bit pricey compared to other grocery stores and Centreville only has two Giants!I did have one really bad encounter with a staff member. My mom and I were in self checkout at separate registers so that we could pay for different things. When I was finished, I walked back up to my mom to help her bag items. I noticed that the self checkout attendant swapped out to a different lady. When we were about to leave, this lady stopped me and asked to see my receipt. My mom was super annoyed and didn’t even want me to show her. But I did to avoid further harassment. The problem here is that it is NOT her job to do that. If I was stealing, the cashier is not supposed to try and stop me. She needs to either call the manager or let me go and watch the cameras to check. I was buying cheese. You’re not supposed to risk your life over five dollars. You are not supposed to try and stop a culprit as a cashier because you don’t know if I am armed. This is basic training learned for ANY JOB that sells physical items.Anyway, use your better judgment… I’m not gonna go through self check-out and pretend to buy five dollar cheese just to steal it. And why would I make conversation with my mother and help her bag items if I’m robbing the store? It was ridiculous and possibly even racist. What makes it even worse is she always sees me because that Giant is closest to my house. It happened months ago but when I see her at the store I make all efforts to avoid her now because she gives me so much anxiety. I just saw her after buying a box of brownies.

Great place to shop and conveniently located. Absolutely love the reward program. However, a bit pricey!

I was kind of in a bind from out-of-town and had a headache! So I got my 50 Motrin for almost $11 ..... Have never spent that much on Motrin. I will say though it took away my headache, and I was able to enjoy the Post Malone concert! The concert would have been terrible had I not got the Motrin, so I will say in this case the Motrin was priceless!

The pharmacy experience was good. Didn't have to wait too long and the pharmacy staff was pleasant. Was able to get lottery tickets on the way out.

The place looks outdated, the fresh produce display isn't appealing and the quality of meat and chicken is very poor. Need immediate attention.

Wanted to give a huge thanks and a 5 star review for CARLA SALAZAR. She went above and beyond to help me with an error in my reward system and literally walked back and fourth between upstairs and the front to relay info to me and help solve the problem. At the end, she literally figured out where all of my points were going and corrected it so my future points will be accounted for. She was so professional and so nice, as always, will continue to bring my business to this giant. Keep being awesome CARLA and thank you for all of your help. A 5 star review isn’t enough for how amazing you were to me.

WARNING: Always check for the lights above the cash register to be on, an invisible cart, and ignore the “lane open” display before even attempting to checkout at the self-checkout. This will avoid a hostile situation with the employees here …. the staff here, really gets their jollies from being rude to customers ….Like many of the other comments regarding the rude staff - The self checkout warden is EXTREMELY rude and the employee working the “customer service” desk was also rude. The lack of competency on Giant to manage the self checkout lanes has obviously caused quite a few issues. I was yelled at for trying to use the self-checkout register that had a “lane open” display on the register screen. Apparently the “lane open” registers were actually closed at 6:30am. After being yelled at for trying to use the open register, the employee didn’t even say what register was open… so there I was wondering where I had to pay…I called the store back after leaving to say “hey I was treated poorly over the self-checkout registers that we’re apparently closed when the register say that it’s open. That’s confusing”.Well, no surprise. The “customer service” person had an attitude and said there was a cart blocking it…. Um, there was no cart. She said what I needed to do was look to see if register lights were on above the register, not the “lane open” screen on the cash register. That makes no sense……I will never shop here again and I feel incredibly sorry for those that work and shop at this hostile Grocery store?? What a shame that the employees here think it’s okay to mistreat people.

I’m a regular Giant shopper and have been for decades. This store is such a disappointment. Since installing the scales in self-checkout, that process has become time consuming and cumbersome. Often, the scales fail to register items - particularly light items. Today, this happened twice and when the front end worker came to reset it, she rudely remarked, “this is why we limit it to 20 items or less.” I had 11.Such a far cry from the outstanding service at the Stone Road location.

From the "Sometimes Yelpers Be Basic" Review series...I love fried chicken. I always have and probably always will. I don't eat it all the time since it's not the healthiest food out there, but I have been known to indulge every so often.Fans of this treat have their favorite purveyor to satisfy their deep fried craving. Some people swear by KFC, Popeyes, Church's, while other's are more new school choosing Chik-Fil-A, Raising Cane's, or Zaxby's. While I've sampled some iteration of "fried chicken" at all of these places, do you know where my favorite fried chicken in the DMV is prepared? The Giant Food deli.Sounds crazy, I know; and even I wouldn't have believed it until I picked up an 8-piece order (I prefer the dark meat) and became a believer. This "conversion," if you will happened in early-2021 during the pandemic and almost purely by accident. I actually drove to KFC and then to Popeyes and couldn't get any chicken due to labor and supply chain issues (you remember those fun times, right?). So I popped in my local Giant Food and saw that an 8 piece order was on sale for $5.99 . I figured, the price was right and the food smelled good, so what did I have to lose? And when I got home and had my first bite, it was an enlightenment. The skin was perfectly GBD (golden/brown/delicious) and crispy, and the meat was moist and seasoned with just enough salt and spices. While I was only intending to consume 1-2 pieces and save the rest for the next day, I "may have" had 3-4 pieces since it was so tasty. As for any leftovers, I find popping them into an air fryer at 300 for about 10-15 minutes is perfect; an oven at 325 for about the same time also works well, but the skin won't be as crispy unless you use the broiler feature for the last 5 minutes of reheating. When I went back the next week to get another order, I was chatting with the guy at the deli who explained that all of the fried chicken is hand dipped and battered in each store, and fried constantly throughout the day. Explains why it taste so good. But admittedly, the trick is you have to time your visit when the chicken is fresh out of the fryer. Usually most of the deli's put their first batches into the fryer around 11:30am, so it's done at 12:15-12:30pm for the lunch rush / and then again around 4:30pm so the next batch is ready around 5:30pm. These are approximate times, so I'd check with your local Giant deli for their preparation schedule. As of this review, an 8-piece container is $7.99, which is still a heck of a good deal. There are usually combo deals available, where with the purchase of an 8-piece, you can also add a few "heat and serve" sides, and have a meal for less than $20.

Since the pandemic I've gotten into the habit of doing the "order online then pick up". The staff that work this department are so nice! They're prompt, kind, and helpful should I need anything. Inside is what you would expect from a well run grocery store. Clean aislesWell StockedFriendly staff

The manager and staff were very helpful but the scanner on the prices should be inspected again because it didn't program the discount code for the items .the rest I love to shop their for groceries because it has various of fresh fruit, veggies and meat also the fish..the prices are good too but you need to patiently look for the discounts! God bless us all ???❤️??️
