“Staff usually friendly and helpful, however, my cashier was very deadpan and seemed very disinterested in any interaction or comments on purchase. Grant it busy before the holiday and he also has to size people up. Seemed the same with the person behind me. But overall a fine experience”

“My spouse and I have been clients since they opened the store over twenty years ago. First, the service is excellent, even when they get exceptionally busy, they work hard to interact with each customer. Their staff are wine and beer lovers themselves, therefore they are better prepared to assist in selecting a bottle of wine. Our visits to the store are more than ducking in to buy a bottle of wine, cheese, appetizers, soup, or a gift - it’s an experience. The folks there are more like family to us. Regular visits to the tastings (Thursday Night Open Bottle; Friday Night tastings, Saturday afternoon tastings, as well as past classes, and dinners) have allowed us to meet new people, make new friends, and hear some great wine stories. It’s a social experience for us. They are also family friendly including the doggos (the regular pups know about the treats).
You won’t find a Two Buck Chuck or Boone’s Farm Country Quencher (dating myself, I know), nor do they carry wines you can find next door at Giant, etc; they do try to meet clients at their price point. If you buy at one of the tastings they offer a discount on those wines. They also feature two craft beers every Friday night.
Another bonus to us is being able to support a local family owned business.”

“Went to buy makings for Manhattans. Had bitters. Found several brands & sizes of sweet vermouth. Found a plethora of whiskeys. Bought Wild Turkey 101 proof in 1.75 litre bottle on sale $3 off. Clerks were especially helpful in finding & carrying to register. Highly recommend going here.”

“Just had my best ABC experience ever. Charlie asked if I needed any help, and I know nothing about liquor anymore and was hunting for a gift. Helped me find the exact bottle my wife wanted even though we didn't remember the name. In addition I got an awesome lesson on bourbon's and scotch for my future purchases for other endeavors. “Stopped by the ABC Store on Liberia Ave in Manassas and had a great experience. Rachelle was fantastic today. She was professional, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The store is immaculate, spacious, and well organized. I come in here pretty often, and the atmosphere is consistently comfortable and respectful.
With so many privately owned liquor stores in the area, including Indian owned businesses that are part of our community too, it is refreshing to walk into a space that feels open, calm, and community centered. No pressure, no tension, just straightforward customer service. They treat you like a regular and like you belong. That matters.
I shop here regularly and today Rachelle really stood out. Excellent service, clean and spacious store, and an overall welcoming vibe. In a neighborhood with many different types of liquor stores, it is nice to have an option that feels community driven and relaxed. They treat you like a member of the neighborhood, not a suspect. “I've been to this ABC Liquor Store in Oakton several times, and overall, it's a solid spot for picking up your favorite spirits. “This is my 2nd time here. The first time, was 2 years ago, I needed a couple of travel size bottles for the White Elephant gift. A lady showed me where they were. This time, I needed to get some Carolan Irish Cream for brownies. The lady there showed me where they were. I'm so happy they gave them in different sizes... 750ml $15.99 and 1 liter $19.99. The 750ml was in sale for $13.99, $2 off!! It was a little cheaper than the 1 liter bottle, so I bought 2 750ml. Will post brownies pictures later. ? The Irish cream brownies recipe is... 1 part water = 1.5 to 2 parts Carolan Irish cream. 2 parts will make the brownies very moist. You will be about to smell and taste the Irish cream if you use Carolan. Don't waste your money using Bailey's. I have already done that, and couldn't smell it taste the Irish Cream. I was told never use expensive liquor for cooking or baking. I used Tennessee Legend cream liquor before and it has a sweeter liquor taste, and make great brownies, too. I got them in TN near Gatlinburg, and we're $24.99 a bottle. If you are in the area, definitely pick some up there. They make great brownies like Carolan, with a different flavor.”
“I was just in the Wegmans on route 28 earlier this afternoon. A young lady helped me in my quest to find more Sierra Nevada Bigfoot. She dropped her work ( a pallet of Miller lite), and helped me scour the area for a six pack. Only later did I notice she was wearing a Premium shirt.
She was very helpful, pleasant, and while I didn't get any beer, it was a good enough experience to note here.”
“We visited this supermarket after work recently and were impressed by how organized and clean everything remained despite the evening crowd. Compared to other grocery stores nearby, the aisles felt easier to navigate and products stayed stocked much more consistently throughout the visit. The produce and dairy sections especially looked fresh and well-maintained. Checkout also moved efficiently, which made the trip feel far less stressful overall. “I was in the area and needed to pick up a few things so I decided to check out this Harris Teeters - wow! I have to say I think this is the nicest HT I've ever been in. It's enormous, clean, well organized, well stocked and has just those few touches to make it feel extra (check out the embellishments on the aisle directory signs - fancy!). I even found some items that have been difficult to find elsewhere (supply chain issues I'm sure). Check out was super fast and the cashier was friendly. My purchases were bagged properly (food separate from cleaning supplies - yay!). Overall just a super pleasant shopping experience. Also, there's a Starbucks inside for my fellow caffeine addicts out there.”
