Good place to shop in the Centerville area. This is a supermarket-like store that I stopped in near Christmas time to get herbs and cranberries for a holiday recipe. I had already been to Food Lion and other stores with no luck. This one had what I needed and a lot more. Their website states that "Lotte Plaza Market has strived to be the premier source for Asian groceries in Maryland and Virginia." The company was founded in 1976 and has grown to 16 stores mostly in the two states with a single store in Florida and New Jersey. It seems to be in a busy area with lots of traffic - perhaps an up-and-coming area. There is plenty of parking as it shares a lot with many stores. The outside of the store was not very clean but it seemed that inside the store they strived to keep the shelves stocked. They had so much stock that I had to ask where I could find the ingredients that I needed. The staff was friendly and walked me to the items. The floor of the store was a little dirty but I put that down to the volume of business that they were doing. Checkout is just like any supermarket with cashiers and checkout counter. Their prices were very reasonable for the economy. I would visit this store again, especially if I needed an item that I could not find elsewhere.

I have an opinion about Lotte Point. When an employee does not ask for a point card or forgets it and points are not accumulated,When you visit the Lotte Plaza store to collect points, you can see the staff's unfriendliness and annoyance. It is very inconvenient, so provide convenience to customers by providing a way to quickly accumulate points. For example, Walgreens stores use barcodes. There is a system where you can accumulate points right away. It is convenient because you can accumulate points directly on the website without having to go to the store.

Disappointed in Lotte business practices, as it is a potential health hazard. I recently purchased a package of fried seaweed that had a new label covering the old expiration date. More than a month old.Shopper beware!

Looks like they (the chain) buys bulk produce that is going bad on the cheap. They then freeze it and sell it while it is thawing. On 12/1/23 they had Honeydew Melon for 2.99 which was a larger size than Costco which sells for $4.99. It was bad on the inside looked great on the outside. The previous week they had a 2 pack of sweet melon for $2.49. It was good on the outside rotten on the inside. It is a hassle to return it with restrictive return policies. Stay away from this store chain. They are intentionally trying to con customers!

Lotte Plaza Market in Centreville is a haven for those seeking authentic Asian groceries and products. The vast selection of items from various Asian cuisines is impressive, making it a go-to spot for anyone looking to explore new flavors or find ingredients for traditional dishes. The store is well-organized and clean, creating a pleasant shopping experience. The food court offers a diverse range of Asian cuisines, giving visitors the chance to enjoy delicious meals after their shopping. However, due to its popularity, the market can get crowded, especially during weekends. If you're an Asian food enthusiast or simply curious about Asian cultures, Lotte Plaza Market is definitely worth a visit.

I like this Lotte a lot SOLELY because it's less chaotic than the Chantilly location. I live equal distance to both and only go to the Chantilly location if I plan to eat there or nearby. The Centreville location is more lowkey and basically has the same selection. I prefer to do my own Korean BBQ at home and they seem to always have Buy 1, Get 1 marinated beef on sale, which is AMAZING!

I used go here every week. I bought meat bun (ho bbang) and shumai in two different times. They both made my daughter and I sick very bad. My daughter threw up badly after eating shumai. They smelled okay when I bought them and they were frozen. As soon as I microwaved, they smelled really bad. Same thing with meat bun. Not sure if this was manufactures’ fault or Lotte. However, since both of the products are not same brands I assume it might be Lotte issue. I had to return these products. I’m not safe to shop here anymore. It’s just scary to get sick that bad.
