Terrible customer service and extremely poor management. My eye doctor referred this pharmacy for my daughter’s eye drop prescription, but the entire process has been frustrating and chaotic.
We received a notification on December 26th that the prescription was ready for pick-up. Before driving 40 minutes to the pharmacy on the 28th, we called to confirm, and they assured us the prescription was ready. Upon arrival, the front desk receptionist claimed they couldn’t find the prescription. After waiting 20 minutes, we were informed that the prescription had been mailed to us via FedEx, and they provided a tracking number.
However, when we checked the tracking information, we discovered the package was being delivered to the wrong city. We called the pharmacy again after returning home, and another representative told us they still had the prescription on-site—the front desk had looked at the wrong file!
This level of negligence in handling prescriptions is unacceptable, especially for a pharmacy!

My vet sent in a prescription on Wednesday last week. Was told they would reach out in 24-48 hours to set up billing and shipping. When I didn't receive a call, I left a voicemail. Voicemail was never returned. Called Friday afternoon and surprise they hadn't even typed the prescription yet. Was told I would be receiving an email with tracking info but was not given a time frame on when that would be. Monday around noon and no email so I call again. Was told the prescription is in the shipping department and going out today. Well Tuesday morning comes and no email. Call again and am told the exact same thing?? This medication is to help my dog breathe, it's ridiculous that this has taken an entire week to get. So I ask if I can just pick it up instead. Guess what, go there at the time I was told it would be ready and it's been packed for shipping! Luckily they were able to grab it before it was picked up. Thanks for a terrible experience 👍👍👍

This pharmacy came recommended to me. We ordered atropine drops and the bottle became moldy. I had another bottle luckily but the lack of communication regarding storage of the drops caused them to be unusable. I had to call everyday to try and get new ones and were promised them. I still do not have drops and come to find out that they won’t have any for 2 weeks (plus the week of waiting and calling so 3 weeks total) That is a long time for a child that needs them. They said they were in the process of contacting patients, I guess they just forgot about us that have been calling every day. I do not know how they’ve been “the most trusted” for years. I will not be using this pharmacy every again

My mom's dog needs medicine for his collapsed trachea. We need a prescription that is signed for by our vet, and we dropped it off with them. We were already running low but Akina claimed they would have the medicine ready two days later.
Here we are two days later and out of meds, I ended up having to take the dog to the Emergency Vet and Akina has told us they don't feel comfortable fulfilling our dog's prescription.
They could have told us the same day, instead they wasted two days, allowing us to run out of medicine and having to take the dog to urgent care.
If I could give you a 0/5 Star, I would.

Be aware that they sign you up to renew your medicine automatically. I was surprised to get a second order and have to pay $88, when I didn't want it.

The staff is always courteous and very helpful. They finished compunding my prescription in less than 30 minutes while I waited in the lobby. The new location is Sterling/Dulles has a very tastefully decorated lobby so waiting is not an issue :)
