We had an awesome experience with moving and packing. The crew showed up on time, worked quickly, and took great care with all of our stuff. They made what could have been a super stressful day feel easy. Pricing was great, communication was smooth, and I’d definitely use them again. Highly recommend!

We recently used American Moving & Storage, located inChantilly Va, for a complicated move involving our household items/furniture plus a grand piano and a full size upright piano. From our first consultation with Bryce, to the big load and off load days with Miguel, Alex, Daniel, Jose and Jorge the entire process was smooth, efficient, punctual, safe with great attention to detail. Nick was also a big help ensuring the entire operation ran smoothly. The moving crew was stellar overall with great attitudes. They safely got everything into place including the pianos - no easy job, for sure! I enthusiastically recommend American Moving & Storage.

We most recently use American Moving & Storage Inc. for two moves, one each day back-to-back and all I can say is, the Movers were AWESOME!!! Working with Nick, Stephanie and the Moving Crew was so easy. They were ALL professional and yet very friendly and was willing to go beyond when needed. I would highly recommend them as the company of choice if you are planning a move!

This was a top-notch moving company. Nick and Bryce were very helpful in the estimate and scheduling for our big move. Oscar and his team were punctual, careful, and quick. It was a wonderful experience, and I never thought I would say that about moving. This is the company to use. We will continue to reach out to them for our small and big moves in the future.

I really enjoyed working with this company. First and foremost, they did what they said they would when they said they would do it. In my book, that earns 4 stars automatically.
The fifth star was earned by being very careful with our furniture carefully wrapping every item. Then, too, they couldn't be helpful and courteous enough. They relocated items with a smile even after I had directed them to the wrong spot. They offered, again, with a smile to move items that I was rearranging myself,
They were so good that I recommended them to my son. Oh, and their price estimate was the lowest I received. What's not to like?

My family and I had an excellent experience with American Moving and Storage. My husband called a few places and we decided on American due to their fair pricing and all they offered. They took care of our belongings when moving and were very impressive on the way they loaded the truck! When we arrived at our new home they assisted with placing furniture and unboxing wardrobe boxes. This was a huge help! The movers were kind and friendly and worked very hard for many hours. While moving heavy items upstairs a wall was slightly damaged. They sent someone out right away to fix it good as new. If you need a moving company look no further. You won’t be disappointed. We recommend them to our family and friends and will use them for other moving needs in the future.

If I could give zero stars I would. I am planning to move forward with legal action toward the company. We signed a contract quoting us at $3 and change per cubic foot. When the actual moving company shows up (because American way is only a broker), they tell me that we waived the inventory assessment with the moving company (I did not. This is a breach of contract), and that the minimum they are able to charge per DOT regulations is $12 per cubic foot. That is FOUR TIMES the cost of what I was quoted. I was told by American way moving company that the only price difference will be if we have more inventory than quoted, and that it will be quoted at $3/cubic foot. The best part is that everybody at the company who I spoke to that was “there is I need anything” has not responded to a single call or message. I can not believe that this company is able to operate in this unethical and unlawful way.
