Tracy in the deli made me the best Italian sub I've had in years! The three cheese bread was really fresh and the cheese on top was crispy. I've had a lot of HT subs on that bread, but never realized the cheese could be crispy. She was friendly, fast and a real pro! Highly recommended!

I’ve been shopping at Harris Teeter East Market Place for about 4 years, and honestly, it’s always been one of my go-to stores. But something I’ve noticed over and over is how the store manager, Lisa, speaks to her staff, especially the younger ones. Every time I’m in the store, there seems to be some kind of argument or tense exchange. The way she talks to them just feels really disrespectful—like she’s scolding them instead of guiding them.
It’s uncomfortable as a customer to hear that kind of tone in the middle of the store. I’ve even seen staff look embarrassed or frustrated during those moments. It doesn’t seem like a healthy work environment, and it definitely affects the vibe of the store. Even when I’ve gone to the service desk for something simple like a money order, Lisa has come across as impatient and not very friendly.
I’m not trying to tear anyone down—I just think there’s a better way to lead a team. A little more patience and respect could go a long way. This store has so much potential, and I’d love to see the energy there feel more positive—for both the employees and the customers.

This Harris Teeter Store in East Market place is Wonderful.
The Staff Team Manager Jennifer is Excellent in Customer Service.
She is Wonderful and very Caring.
A very Good Leader.
I have been coming to this Store for 7 years.
I Highly recommend this Harris Teeter Store!

I've been to this location a couple times. There are just so many Harris Teeters these days.
This location is just so large, but doesn't have the offerings as other locations. For example, they don't have the pizza station, the bar area or hot/cold food buffet. I actually thought they would, which Is why I came here. But also, we came here because the HT closer to use hasn't been stocking their shelves the last couple times we visited.
It is extremely clean, fully stocked. Even while we were shopping, there were employees stocking the shelves. There's a Starbucks inside the store, which is interesting since there is a standalone Starbucks across the parking lot. The aisles are wide and clean as well.

God awful store. Produce section is half rotten pretty consistently. Meat department is priced only for the rich, and the entire place is run by rude staff if you can even find any.

This store has really gone down hill. Poorly managed, struggles to keep employees and to keep itens stocked. Produce, Deli and bakery are struggling. A much better Teeter about 3 miles west on Rt 50 or go to Giant in South Riding. They have much better management and seasoned staff.

Where should I start. Out dated food often ? The fruit is hit or miss. Most times miss. Very friendly staff at store. Low stock on favorite items like lactose milk ? Nasty bakery… pretty presentation but always dry or just nasty in my family’s opinion. I love Mary at check out! She’s the best! Deserves a raise ASAP. I truly wish this was a Whole Foods or Wegmans I often go to Walmart which is past my house just to avoid Harris Teeter.

Many times I would do my week shopping only to find out at the end that I have to do the whole thing in self checkout...and that's on the weekends. At any point, you are lucky to see more than one cashier line open. That's my opinion.

Experienced exceptional service from Assistant Manager Jennifer today. She ran across the store to apologize for being out of the 5 gallon spring water (all other stores are out of stock as well). She then went out of her way to double check at the loading dock. Luckily some had just arrived. She then personally put them in a cart for me. That is ? awesome service.

I wanted to leave this review because I was very pleased with the customer service at this store.A few days ago, I asked the customer service desk if I could get some empty boxes in preparation for a move.Unfortunately, they said they didn't have any because they had already bailed out all the boxes that day, but if I left my contact information, they would set aside the boxes I wanted as soon as they were ready.As promised, someone from the branch called me two days later to say that the boxes were ready and to come pick them up.I would like to express my sincere gratitude to them for their kind follow-up.
