Car enthusiast and Porsche experts! Period and simple. Ivan and crew know their Porsches and have years of experience servicing, maintaining, and extracting performance out of these vehicles. I came in with a simple issue that I could not diagnose myself. I was worried about the safety of the car and popping I was feeling while driving. Ivan jumped in the car, immediately diagnosed the situation and even found some other concerns that could be address at a later time. Because of the honesty of the shop, no Maitenance was required and the diagnostics was simple and straight forward. I will be returning for my future Porsche needs.

I found IMA Motorwerke when searching for a Pre-Purchase Inspection before buying a 2018 Audi S4. Chris was a pleasure to work with and extremely thorough in his report and our discussion, regarding an out-of-state vehicle purchase! He went above and beyond in helping me make this purchase for my son's new car! Thank You Chris!!

This is one of the best shops in the DMV for Porsches and other German cars. Chris and his team do an incredible job and provide excellent customer service. They understand these cars and have experience with performance driving and racing, and have seen all the issues. They have gone above and beyond to help me on several occasions.

Very knowledgeable team at IMA, led by a strong veteran in the performance car community - Chris. IMA will do better work at a cheaper price than the dealership. Highly recommend.

IMA Motorwerkes is THE PLACE for maintenance/repair for your Audi/German manufactured automobile. The personnel are courteous, knowledgeable, competent and most of all VERY honest. They take the time to explain the needed repairs and are also willing to answer all of your questions…kudos to Ivan and Chris. I have used a dealership for years but no more. In a recent maintenance visit at the dealership, they recommended several items that needed attention some of which were legitimate and some that were not. I took my Audi to IMA for a second opinion. IMA took the time to correctly diagnose the issue. For my low coolant level, the repair needed was the simple replacement of a leaking plastic tube from the coolant reservoir not the $2200.00 water pump replacement recommended by the dealership. My rear light warning was on and the repair was simply a bulb replacement in the bumper not an entire light housing replacement the dealership wanted to do at a cost of $800.00. Bottom line…I plan to keep my Audi for years to come and IMA will be my go to place for maintenance and repairs.

I'll keep this quick and simple, even though there's a lot to go through. I took my '95 BMW 540i there a couple years ago with clear and concise concerns and requests. Water pump, springs, a coolant leak, and a few other things. Ivan himself came out and looked at everything I had written down, and I even showed him some of the issues I wanted fixed; including a coolant leak when the car was revved high. So, they quoted me an insanely high price, which lead me to believe that the service would be a bit more thorough than what I received back in reality. I was asked to pay half on the spot, which sounded fair at the time, and I left the car. Had a few reschedulings in the meantime, and excuses that the main mechanics were on vacation. Okay, fair. Well, when I went to retrieve the car two months later the first thing I noticed was that the tires had been put on wrong; I had wider tires in the rear, and they had rotated them even after I explicitly said not to. So the right side of the car had the larger tire in the front and the smaller one in the rear... Plastic trim under the hood had been broken and misplaced, one of my hub covers was missing, and I had to get them to go and find it. They also suggested some additional extensive and expensive work, which I declined in order to take a look at it myself. There was a supposed 'major oil leak' at the back end of the engine; which was a lie. They also recommended control arm bushings, which was a common failure point on these cars; so I agreed. I received it back with a suspension clunk though, one I hadn't had when I took it in. One of the best parts? The original reason I wanted the water pump serviced was a leak in the coolant system. They never attempted to diagnose or find it after replacing the water pump. It STILL had a leak when I got it back, and the coolant tank was half empty; something that ONLY happens when you drive the car hard and trigger the leak. I found it myself later, it was the water pump housing, which let water out only when the car was revved high. Which means, they never diagnosed the car after the work to make sure it worked well, AND they must have driven it hard as well. With the amount of high end and high power cars I see taken to that shop, well, I worry for their owners. I tried calling back and sending e-mails to ask if they would make any of this right, but they explicitly ignored me. Honestly very appalling behavior for such a 'prestigious' shop. I wouldn't take my beater Mercedes there, let alone a Porsche of any kind. Avoid them like all hell!

Great shop to have your European car fixed and maintained! Been going now for almost a year to get my 1987 Porsche 928S4 back on the road and in tip top condition. Chris Prack is the Shop Manager and is a wealth of knowledge…never rushes you out the door always answering your questions thoroughly…and did I mention he does a lot of the wrench turning himself! Awesome place, great people!

IMA Motors did a great job with my car repair. The staff was professional, and the service was done on time. Prices were fair, and they explained everything clearly. I’d definitely come back if I need more work done.

Accurate, professional, honest and reasonably priced.
Came there for my wife's Macan and returned to do an alignment for my Acura NSX.
Great team and very professional.
