We used Moss for a two-story addition to our Arlington home and they did a fantastic job. Our finished project looks even better than the digital renderings. We choose Moss in part because they are an integrated design-build firm, which made it easy as Moss led us through the process from beginning to end. Moss was always responsive and informative, answering any questions that we had and quickly resolving any issues that came up.
We especially loved our project manager Scott Burkart. His diligent supervision was key to completing the project significantly ahead of schedule. We also enjoyed working with the rest of the team: Sean McLarty, Ranwa Nourieh, and Kristen Corbett, who were all very experienced and helpful throughout the process. We highly recommend Moss for any home additions.

Highly recommend Moss Building & Design and I will not hesitate to work with them again in the future. We had Moss finish our basement in our 1940’s home which included adding full bath, laundry closet, an office, cabinets/counterop and maintaining an unfinished area around for ultilties. This was our first time doing a major project and I appreciated our whole team from start to finish. Kevin walked us through what to expect, kept us on budget and checked in on us throughout the process; we designed the space with Kristen making sure it complimented our existing home; and our Project manager’s, Scott, years of experience was invaluable to the execution. I was so impressed with their subcontractors, tradesmen and employees. Everyone worked diligently and professionally. Despite the challenges when working with an old house, Scott was eager to make sure the job was done and done right without sacrificing function and detail. Our basement turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Everyone went above and beyond and we are just elated about the added space to our house for years to come!

We saved a lot of money and time using Moss for our front portico and entryway. They were always available with answers and stayed on budget. They also provided recommendations on the best contractors for other work we needed done. I would highly recommend Moss.

I contracted Moss to build a screen porch on the same foot print as my existing deck. I initially met with Sean Ganey and Ben Gaston to review my project who were very helpful in putting together the proposal and meeting my objectives. Design was completed by Emmett Zamani who expertly incorporated our ideas into building plans which I used to obtain approval from my local HOA. Moss was the only company I interviewed over a span of 3.5 years that actually listened to my ideas and was able to incorporate into a viable project. Once construction started John Jenkins, project manager, made sure my screen porch stayed on budget and completed ahead of schedule. The team of workers building my screen porch were highly skilled and worked full days to complete the screen porch. They also made sure the construction site was cleaned up at the end of the day. I highly recommend Moss Building & Design as the completed project exceeded my expectations in terms of communication, cost and end product.

We recently did a large project that included adding an in-law suite and an indoor/outdoor patio. The MOSS team was very professional. Our designer and architect helped us turn our vision into a reality. David, our project manager, was excellent. There were a lot of plates spinning with such a large project, and he managed it well. He was great at troubleshooting (because nothing ever goes exactly according to plan during construction) and always worked with us until we came to a solution that worked for everybody. He was patient and responsive, and he did his best to accommodate our schedules. The work itself was high quality and done with great attention to detail.

We are thrilled with the high quality work Moss completed at our home. Our end product was exactly what we had hoped for. Our project manager, Bob, was fantastic to work with and was so responsive to all of our needs. His attention to detail was spot on and he made sure everything was right up until the end. Kristen, our designer, was also fantastic and was so helpful in the design process. I attribute the beauty of our end result to her help and guidance during the early stages of design. We signed on for a second project with Moss, specifically with Bob and Kristen, before our first was complete.

Moss has been my go to construction firm for all my remodels in our past and current home.The whole process from estimate to design to execution is very seamless. The estimators I have worked with have been very understanding of my projects. We have done bathroom/ kitchen and most recently basement remodeling.I have worked with Kristen on the last few designs and have been very happy. She is very receptive of what I am hoping to achieve and is very creative with her designs. The final designs have been very well thought out.Bob, the project manager for all my projects is truly fantastic. Bob always gives me a heads up with the daily or weekly happenings and is always eager to answer my questions. I really appreciate the whole team be it Jim/ Steve/ John. They go above and beyond in the work they do. Even the subcontractors they employ are super nice and thorough professionals.It really is a pleasure doing business with Moss. I am happy to recommend Moss for all home projects be it small or big!

Moss has been FANTASTIC to work with. They built a large addition onto my home, and they did an excellent job. The project was particularly complex, and was closer to a whole house build. We had very few if any issues that came up, and everytime something did they were an amazing partner to work with and find the right solutions. Their craftsmanship and workers are top notch. I was incredibly impressed with how well they managed the projects schedule, and kept things running. I especially had a great time working with their team from pre-construction design, architect phase to the final completion of the project. Thank you so much Ranwa, Dave, Kevin, and Matt for working on this project. I highly recommend them to anyone with a large project to manage, you'll be in good hands.

We've done two large renovations with MOSS in the last 4 years, and while we've had some hiccups along the way in each (primarily in initial budget quotes and creation of the contract), we ultimately have felt that they provide an excellent final product and the people are skilled and attentive - they try to make sure we know the extent of how intrusive some work will be, and they are mindful of the fact that we have small children as well as a handicapped person in the house. Our project manager has been the same person both times - Brady - and we are comfortable with him and trust him, and always felt like we could assess with him as things moved along.Our latest renovation involved converting the living room into a bedroom and full bathroom and adding a room above our garage (which involved cutting into other rooms to build a landing). It was intensive, and though it took awhile to get started due to permits, once construction was going they moved very quickly and the whole thing was done in about 5 months. They clearly cared about how displaced we were during that time, and even made sure that all construction was cleaned up so we could use our new (albeit unfinished) family room over the long Thanksgiving weekend. They made sure we had air purifiers (we bought a couple on their recommendation) and clear paths for the wheelchair, and really did their best to protect our things.The constant communication from the people onsite was great as well - not just Brady, but many of the subcontractors were very good about updating us in person when they saw us and asking questions if they were unsure of what we wanted. Anything that wasn't up to our standards once done got addressed when we brought it to Brady.We also had some real craftsman work going into this renovation - our stair railing provided a big challenge due to the shape and they brought in a woodworker for that rather than trying to cobble it together themselves and he managed to design something functional and beautiful. Our fireplace is also amazing - each stone of the facade was carefully placed and the result is stunning.

We have completed three house projects with Moss (basement, kitchen and master bath). I have gone back to Moss repeatedly since they are a trustworthy organization. Each time they completed our projects in good quality, within budget and mostly on schedule. Our project manager for two of the three projects (Bob) is very customer oriented and ensures work is done properly and within code. The Moss team works closely with subcontractors for specialty work. The subcontractors appear to have long standing relationships with Moss and work as an extended part of the team.
