I have been to My Eye Dr twice now and both times Kabeer was the staff member who helped me. I will have to say that I’m so impressed by him. I am so picky but he was so patient. He was professional, very knowledgeable and very attentive to my needs!

The staff at My Eye Dr. in Chantilly was fantastic!!! Everyone was attentive. Kabeer helped me pick a pair of fantastic glasses. He was patient and kind. I highly recommend this office.

Had my yearly eye exam with Dr. Schmidt. Was a wonderful experience where he took great care and gave thorough explanations of my eye health. Kabeer assisted greatly with the glasses selection and the insurance coverage process. Overall was the best experience I have had at an eye exam and store. Would highly recommend!!

The wait is AWFUL. Set aside two hours for this office. They’re very slow. They do get stars because the front desk ladies are sweet and helpful and always carry a kind tone. The doctor (Dr. Jacques) was also wonderful and knowledgeable. Loved to laugh with her patients and explain everything in detail. Would definitely come back but the wait is just too long.
EDIT: I came here to see Dr. Schmidt and he's probably the sole reason this practice is declining (I left and went elsewhere since). I came in for a contact fitting, and I told him my contacts were uncomfortable. The response I received was "just try them and come back if you don't like them." The way I was dismissed was awful, and I paid for a contact fitting meaning they should take the time to find what works for my eyes. They then had me buy the contacts even though I told them they weren't comfortable. Again, the response was "keep trying them out and come back and exchange them if they're not comfortable". What a waste of time. Go elsewhere. This doctor doesn't care about you. Just wants your money.

Shhh…don’t tell anyone but Dr Schmidt was excellent. I am afraid he will get too busy. Thorough exam. Explained everything with being condescending or too technical. Took his time. Knowledgeable. Staff was excellent also.

My teen daughter needed new glasses and Kabeer was so helpful! He listened to her and patiently browse through the store and offered different choices. He was very kind and answered all our questions, until he finally found the perfect glasses for her. My daughter was so happy! Kudos to Kabeer, excellent service!

Kabeer helped my son picking up the frame from many selections and fixed a frame that couldn’t be fixed from other MyEye Dr. location. I will go back for my pair of glasses and for other family members

I typically don’t write reviews unless there’s a noteworthy experience, but I feel it’s important to share my recent visit to this location. While the doctors were helpful and professional, I had an issue with one of the front desk staff members. (I didn’t catch her name, and honestly, I didn't want to engage with her again to ask. She has short red hair, and wears glasses)
I brought in my own frames with original branded lenses to have new prescription lenses fitted, and I specifically requested that the original lenses be returned to me. After waiting a week and a half, I picked up the new frames / lenses only to find that my original lenses were not included. Upon calling the store, I learned that it is apparently standard practice to dispose of the old lenses once the new ones are installed. However, since the frames/lenses were my own property, I expected to retain the original lenses that I brought into the store.
The staff member I interacted with was appalled and dismissive at my request. Despite my polite explanation of why I needed the original branded lenses—such as for future use with my frames and even re-sale value—she seemed irritated and condescending. She mentioned she would check the “trash” for them, and fortunately, I did get them back before it was too late.
She kept going on and on about how they are 'plastic' - It doesn't matter even if they are made of paper or they are Walmart frames/lenses (I assure you these were not lol), that still doesn't give you the right to just outright trash the original components of the frame when the customer has brought it in.
It’s regrettable that one staff member’s attitude could impact the overall experience so negatively. If you plan to bring your own frames with lenses, I would recommend verifying that all of your original property is returned to you.

Great service at this location, I was helped by Kabeer who was very kind and funny, as well as helpful in finding frames that fit my personal style. He made the visit much more enjoyable and also adjusted/fixed my very battered existing pair of glasses like it was nothing. I’ll be back next year!

I have used the Westfields (Newbrook Drive) MyEyeDr location since they opened. Their staff are incredibly friendly, efficient and helpful. What I most appreciate is their willingness to engage on billing/insurance issues…assisting without hesitation
