South Riding is hands down one of the better public courses in the area. The course is a good challenge and is well maintained. Pricing is reasonable, and they have a fully practice facility, a great pro shop, and a great bar/19th hole. I always recommend this course. The course does retain water longer than some others, so keep that in mind if it has rained recently.

First time back since last summer and I’m very impressed with their club house renovation! Always a great experience with staff especially the starter. Overall, great golf course!

Very overpriced considering the conditions of the course. Worse conditions than my local municipal course. Club house was fine.

People working there are not friendly. Starter was lecturing us. The people at the pro shop don't know company policy and stated incorrect facts. The course is very confusing trying to navigate from home to hole. Would not recommend this course. I will never golf there again even though it is 10 minutes from my home. Golf prices are expensive and the customer service should reflect better. Look elsewhere everyone.

I really like this golf course. Some of the holes are really challenging, even when you've played the course often, as the vegetation thickens over the course of the summer. The course is well-maintained this year--huge improvement over the last year. Greens fees are affordable and come with the cart included, which I recommend, because the second hole is quite a hike from the first. The course wraps around through the community of South Riding. They offer an associate membership that is a punchcard that starts in September and it's good through the entire following year. There are blackout times for play, but even if you have to pay to play during those times, you get a substantial discount. Range balls, and products in the pro shop are discounted as well. And the associate membership is reciprocal at Pleasant Valley Golf Club as well. I only give it a four-star because they don't have women's leagues.

Fun course! Really enjoyed the layout. Wish they had better signage. Also some water stations would be nice too.

Course I’m in excellent shape since Graham has taken over. Multiple changes for the better and exactly what this place needed. Figure I would add some updated pictures!

Absolutely ridiculously bad value! Paid $107 for 18 holes with a cart. Course has tall weedy grass, poorly maintained, and not a single water station on the course. Why exactly is this course priced over $100? Will never come back and this used to be my favorite course prior to it getting way over-priced. I am fine paying $107 but please give us equivalent value (i.e., well maintained, water stations every few holes, a starter ensuring pace of play). What a joke!!!

Poor club, Cart paths are terrible, holes not marked, you will get lost trying to find 17th-18th. Played on Sat morning in June, no drink cart! (They would have made a fortune). Distance markers are almost not visible. Maybe be find a faded painted line across the rutty cart path if lucky. This place used to be so nice when I played here many years ago. Now, terrible. So many places to play in NOVA, not sure why I chose this one. Not again.

Grew up playing here and now that I play here as an adult, it's in okay shape. Range mats are old and worn but the maintenance for the grass part of the range is better. Putting and chipping practice greens are consistently in great shape. Holes themselves are in pretty good shape but the tees are VERY hit or miss. Some are maintained (usually the blue/gold sets further back) but the red/white tees are often in disrepair. Cart paths are still abysmal and it would be great to see them properly redone. I've seen this place in better shape and in worse shape, but the maintenance has definitely improved over the last few years. It won't blow you away if you regularly attend boutique courses, but it's a great local course.

I rounded with my friends after Easter service and did an unforgettable hole-in-one at the 14. My friends were so happy to see the hole-in-one for the first time it was such a fun day. Thanks God.

Edit (11/21/22) - course is in much better shape as I guess they have a new superintendent. Fairways and greens are in very good shape for late season. Teeboxes and cart paths still need work but overall has improved.
