I recently spent a few nights here on a trip for work and I was pleased with the experience. There are a number of factors that goes into my rating:Among the things that a hotel cannot change to improve, is its location. This hotel doesn't need to worry about that. It's in a prime location that's close to several businesses and there's a good selection of restaurants within a very short drive. It's also in very close proximity to a few of the major roadways. It's a nicely appointed hotel. The fixtures and ambiance elevate the experience. I appreciate the open spaces just beyond the entrance that gives the hotel a sense of grandeur that's missing from smaller hotels intended for business travelers. The rooms themselves are clean and have not yet begun to show the kind of wear and tear that gets seen over the years. The grounds also provide a nice touch. The parking lot is several meters away from the main entrance, but all parking areas and walkways are appropriately lit and well-kept.In all, it was a good experience and I would certainly select this hotel again should the opportunity arise in the future. I would recommend other business travelers to stay here.

This is an absolutely lovely property. It’s in a fantastic central location close to almost everything from the Air and Space museum to Dulles Airport to I-66 and 28. Yet, it’s secluded away on beautiful serene grounds in the woods. There is plenty of parking - but valet is available for only $20 - and the lobby is absolutely grand. The service and staff here are absolutely impeccable. The facility itself is spacious and well appointed, easy to navigate, and welcoming during all seasons. So, why three stars? As someone who spends about 100 nights a year in hotels and has stayed here 4-5 times now as a business traveler, read on and let me explain. The Marriott Westfields is primarily an events center, and it’s a great one at that. But what it’s not especially good at is the whole “hotel” part of the equation. It seems like the general “place to sleep and home base after a long day” is not what this place is going for.The rooms are relatively small, and while they have recently been re-done, there’s a certain dankness to them on humid days in the summer. The towels in the bathroom are embarrassing - scratchy, small ones that look about 20 years old and wouldn’t feel out of place in a Motel 6. You only get two of them so make sure to ask for extras if you’re like me and don’t like drying off with a soggy towel in the morning. The pillows on the beds are absolutely atrocious - and this is unforgivable for a hotel of this class. Every night I’ve spent here has been choosing between a sack of potatoes or a boulder to put my head on. I learned quickly to go down to Target and buy my own if I want a good night’s sleep. You’ll notice signs all around about quiet hours. While this might be a side effect of the hotel’s event center focus and people at events tend to drink and party, I think the other side of this is just the fact that the rooms are not sound insulated at all. You can hear EVERYTHING in the halls in your room. I tried taking a nap at 5pm and it was futile. Everything from doors slamming to housekeeping carts echoed through the halls into my room. And you can’t turn on the HVAC fan to drown out the noise - recently they’ve gone full “green” with the top-of-the-line Verdant ZX AC controls which can’t be overridden. The fan comes on and off when it wants to, and your temperatures are restricted at that. Hotels focusing on “energy saving” is always a bit of a red flag to me. It’s sold as an eco-friendly thing, but it’s always clear when greenwashing is to save money.Overall, it feels to me that this is likely an expensive place to run, considering the property and location. My guess is the focus on events means the hotel services need to be skimped on a little to make ends meet.A shame, as it could be fantastic with these minor improvements - towels, a few pillows, maybe some strategic appointments on the walls to drown out noise, and a little less of a restrictive climate control. Will I be back? Probably. But I’ll bring a pillow, a towel, and a white noise machine.Safety: Extremely safe location, off the beaten path and technically right behind a police station.Walkability: Very little is walkable from here.

The hotel was very nice and well maintained. The parking is a little confusing, especially if you get there in the dark. Overall, it was a very good experience.

I loved everything about your hotel. The people, the layout, the services. Please, please step up your breakfast. For the caliber of your hotel it should have been so much better. The food itself was not bad. But the options and where the food was located - were something I would see at a Residence Inn (which has a different but wonderful purpose).Your regular restaurant was great, the food (garlic Parmesan wings - meaty and tasty).Your selection of beer, wine, and liquor was nice. But the waiters never brought it when I sat down. It was an after thought.Yes, I would stay here again.

Our room did have a dirty sock in it, but other than that this place was great. Front deskt staff were friendly, the common area were clean and neatly organized. Was there for a x-mas party and the staff did a great job. Were always available to help us out.

The hotel was clean, and was a nice event space. However, I would not stay here again! The hotel is noisy all hours of the day and night, there is no soundproofing whatsoever! I could hear people loudly in the hallways. If you don't want peace and quiet then stay here.Rooms: Clean, and spacious

The rooms at this hotel are beautiful. Well appointed and very comfortable. The location was fine as I was attending a conference and did not have to leave the hotel for anything. However, the service was horrible. I was at a conference for teachers and was treated rudely from the time I walked in and it continues until today. There was a charge made on my credit card that was in error and I can not get anyone at the hotel or Marriott to help me. I am thoroughly disgusted by treatment I have received and can not recommend them to anyone.

Went for a Gala Dinner for Reset180. Plenty of parking. There were couple events happening at the same time, however the staffs were all friendly and attentive. I had a great time. Food was delicious and the staffs cleaned and brought the food in a great manner. Never leave our glass half empty too. Overall it was a great experience. Didn’t get a chance to take pictures of the decorations other than the food. I recommend this place for your parties, events or conference.Food & drinks: Delish!Noteworthy details: Staffs are attentive and friendly. They had 3-4 events that night and had no complaints on the service and the flow of the event.

All around great place to stay. I was in the area for a board meeting. My organization chose the location. Well appointed rooms with everything the modern traveler requires. Numerous options for events, meetings, and conferences. Very friendly, professional, and attentive staff.

I'm not sure how many 100 or so parking spaces there are actually, but there was only six or eight handicap. They had plenty of up front valet, put none of those spots near the entrance with handicap. Whether the law requires more or not, Marriott should do better.
