I had a wonderful experience during my stay at Wingate. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The service was consistently excellent, and the facilities were well-maintained, reflecting a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.
I booked my stay through Expedia, and I found the pricing to be very reasonable, especially considering the amenities offered. One of the highlights was the convenient shuttle service to the airport, which made my travel plans much easier. Overall, my time at Wingate exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

My experience with this hotel has been extremely frustrating due to their mishandling of my lost credit card. After accidentally leaving it on the premises, I reached out to the staff and Manager Paul Tran, who assured me they would promptly ship my card back. I even provided a prepaid shipping label 24 days ago, yet I still haven’t received my card. To make matters worse, they have ignored my last two follow-up emails entirely.
The lack of communication and disregard from Mr. Tran and the team is disappointing, especially given the sensitivity of a lost credit card. I trusted them to handle this professionally, but instead, I was left feeling dismissed and undervalued. It's alarming that a reputable hotel would treat a guest’s property so carelessly after promising a prompt return.
This experience has shown me that guest concerns are not a priority here, and management does not take accountability. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you expect reliable and responsive service. I’ll definitely be choosing a different hotel in the future

staff was great. but not a great quality hotel for the price. it might as well have been an extended stay or a days inn. people loungin around the halls with no room, kids bangin on walls and running all over the place, sheets felt pretty cheap. a/c worked ok but not great pool area was just disgusting, overall not worth the price. other wyndhams are nicer in other cities but not this one will not return

You don't get much with breakfast, you have to go out of the hotel to get lunch and supper. The environment is beautiful and quiet.

Don't recommend, noisy rooms, maintenance hammering early morning 9am and uncomfortable beds. Not accommodating service either. Terrible night stay.

Don't stay here if you value sleeping-in in the morning, I was jet lagged from coming from Australia, and it's was 9am and they had maintenance hammering for hours. Noisy hotel, uncomfortable beds, didn't feel that clean. Bad night sleep. We were told the manger would discuss a discount but never contacted us. That's why I'm writing this review to warn people, don't stay here, you'll regret it if you want sleep. Not worth it for the price!

The hotel offers free complimentary hot breakfast in the morning, and they have shuttles from the airport. However, the staff are not helpful. I stayed in too many hotels from Hilton, Marriot, Westin, Hyatt, etc., NEVER had the following experience:
We, as a group of researchers and PhD students, attended Chantilly for a conference, and we had an early flight (we arrived there at 9 am). The lady at the front desk said all the rooms were booked and she could help us around 1 pm. We waited, and at 11 am, she said the housing gave her an update, and they had a room ready, but we had to pay 56$ for an early check-in, if we waited till 1 pm, it would be free of charge. Around 12:30, I asked her if she could help us to check in as the room was ready, and she preferred us to wait and said she could not help us till 12:45. Very disappointed with their service.
The room had a stained blanket. we asked for a clean blanket, and 30 minutes later, there was nothing. When we called and asked for a clean one, they said we have to go down and get it, because they don't provide this service!! I've attached the picture of the clean blanket as well! I will never book this hotel chain again

Really enjoyed our stay here while on a 3-night excursion to DC area. The rate was excellent, staff very friendly, beds very comfortable, and breakfast fine. It appeared that the hotel garners a fair amount of groups such as tour buses and kid's travel ball teams, so there is quite a bit of activity at breakfast time. But the crowds were handled well. Plenty of food to eat. I would stay here again.
Many areas of the hotel have been refreshed, and others not so much. But everything was very clean, so it excellent for our trip. We were visiting DC capital / Smithsonian area & the Bible Museum, so we knew we would be about an hour from our destinations, but worth it for a much less expensive hotel over a longer stay. We could have caught the hotel shuttle to Dulles Airport for the metro, but it only leaves once/hour. So we elected to drive our car a ways towards DC and caught the metro in. All worked fine.

By far one of my worst hotel stays, not recommended for any traveler! My colleague and I booked two rooms for three nights. To my surprise their Wi-Fi does not work with all current Win OS, it worked for phones. Lucky for me, I had an older OS loaded on my laptop and was able to connect. Only to find out that their Wi-Fi was out for hours the following day. The printer next to the front desk was broken or out of ink and nobody made any attempt to fix it. Security was also a joke. My door-lock was broken and had never been properly repaired, the lock would not open or close properly, it would take multiple attempts just to lock it. Only one key card worked and the in-room safe was broken as well. My colleague told me that one of the exercise machines in the gym was also broken. There was NO room service for the three days we were there, no fresh towels or anything. Staff did not care! Breakfast bar was mediocre at best, obviously the lowest available quality. This place is run on a shoe string and is desperately in need of new management and an overhaul of the entire facility. There are much better options in the area!

I really wanted to like this hotel but the front desk hotel and managers have no rules for people staying there. I was trying to study in the lobby area because it’s suppose to be a quiet area but there were a group of what looked like loud parents partying blasting music on a big speaker. When I asked the front desk about it he seemed lost. I’ve never been at a hotel that allows a group of 20 people to host a party and blast music. It makes the hotel look trashy. Definitely do not recommend if you want a more quiet relaxed hotel

Staff was very helpful with changing my room reservation from king to double. Also they ask me for my location preference which was wonderfully convenient. Should include hot tub as an amenity it was great along with the pool. Breakfast was very very good!

The hotel is near the airport but far from the city. Rooms are very good and wide. The best thing is the shuttle bus to the airport which is an added value and this is why I chose this hotel and the driver was very helpful and punctual but I forgot his name. Breakfast wasn’t that good but ok.

I arrived with a confirmation for two rooms and immediately felt like the front desk girls vibe was off after seeing me. She proceeded to tell me I only had 1 room booked despite me showing her my confirmation for 2 bookings. She was incredibly rude for no reason and it felt like I was being racially targeted. As a Muslim girl who wears a hijab i felt uncomfortable in the situation. We drove all the way from New York to Virginia and just wanted to get some rest, instead we had to deal with this. The worst part was that the girl REFUSED to acknowledge the hotel could’ve made a mistake. All I needed was for someone to acknowledge what they had done wrong. They said they were “overbooked” which meant they most likely gave someone else our room while we checked in at night. My brother was literally without a room and exhausted. I feel incredibly upset about the situation and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone due to the sheer rudeness of the employees and TERRIBLE service. I mean who does that??? Instead of handling the situation with kindness they ruined our trip and left a sour taste in our mouths. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I attached a photo just to show everyone that I truly did have 2 bookings.
