I received an offer for 1.89 per gal thru mail and internet, I called number and talked to rep in Missouri, ordered fuel and was told I would get advance notice prior to delivery I live 3hrs. from location. I first received a call from delivery driver informing me he was on his way and I was 3 hrs. away, I made it clear I needed prior notice, the delivery drive Charles was very professional and helpful but the lady in Missouri and Charlottesville didn't work, if I had been notified I would have been there.

Worst customer service ever!!!!!!!
There was scheduled service for August 12 between 8-5. They couldn't narrow down the time. Waited all day and they never arrived. I called at 8am the next day and a supervisor said a scheduling agent would contact me about when service would come out. It's now 4pm and no call. I've had to call customer service again and can't get the same person twice and have to repeat myself repeatedly. I had to cancel backhoe operator and delay my contractor because of Amerigas delay. Horrible experience.

If zero stars were an option, that's what I would have chosen. Worst customer service, outsourced overseas, and no local offices to resolve issues. We were charged for terminating a contract we didn't sign and for allowing their technician to take an old tank located on our property that was here when we bought the place. He said he could do it for us, but never said it was going to cost us hundreds of dollars to take back their own equipment left on our property by others.

Amerigas inspected and tested my tank on June 13, 2024 and said it passed inspection. There were other issues with the company that I was extremely unsatisfied with, so I requested to purchase the tank and Amerigas agreed. Now I have been trying to get fuel from a new propane company and it is telling me the tank needs two leaks repaired and should truly be replaced because it's very old and in bad shape. Amerigas charged me $2369.25 for a BAD TANK. I contacted Amerigas customer advocacy on August 29, 2024 regarding this issue and they said they are unwilling to do anything since I signed the bill of sale that releases them from liability on August 15th. I had no reason to believe that the tank was bad after it had PASSED INSPECTION two months before. This is DISHONEST and, more importantly, UNSAFE if they are passing inspection on bad tanks.

I appreciate the Auto refill process; I never have to worry about an empty propane tank! Auto payment also makes my life easier!

If I could give this company negative stars, I would definitely do so. I have been struggling to get a straight answer about my bill for well over a year. I pay per month and the amount has gone from $42 per month to over $300 now. When I finally spoke to someone who I could have a coherent conversion with, it was shared that the company did not correctly calculate my monthly amount previously when it was the lesser amount so now they are trying to retrieve the amount they didn't bill me for. I was on the last call for over two hours and spoke to five people. This is the worse response/customer service I have ever received.

Friday I missed the delivery man (who did not say he was coming until he had shown up) so he could not perform a leak check (which we were not informed would be required) and he locked the tank. When I realized what had happened an hour later and called Amerigas I was told by a representative that he had scheduled them to come back by the end of the day, and they would give me a call (after adding my cell to my husband's account). I called first thing Monday morning and was told that as I am not authorized on the account that they could not tell me if someone was coming, and that they could only talk to my husband - something that was NEVER brought up in my call on Friday, if it had been I would have had him add me to that account then. After it was clear that no one could help me I asked to take the customer service survey, I was transferred to hold music and then dead air for 5 min before I gave up- so I thought I would share my experience here instead.

Nothing was done. I was told that I did not have to be home for the appointment. The tank leans to the left and it is still leaning.

Amerigas is the worst. If I could switch I would. But Amerigas owns the tank and won't let me use another company. There is no local office customers can call about issues and when they do call they get someone on the other side of the world who have no clue except to repeat their script they are given. THE WORST!!!!!
