They are very dubious people. They tell you to come in assuring you that they take your insurance. Then they make you sign an agreement requesting you to pay on the spot and that they will send claim to insurance.
They never do! Every time you follow up, they claim they have sent the claim but insurance never received any claim.
They are deceitful and you better stay away. They also sell you a bunch of things you don’t actually need. Find somewhere else!

I will not go back. Uncertain of what I need to do next. They were supposed to refer me to UVA for cataract exam. It's been over a week, and nothing. Not very friendly, and they assume that I should know there procedures.America's Best would have been better, and they are awful

The new location looks great! However the front staff aren't too pleasant. They are loud, over talked me, and very unwelcoming. A front staff should be more welcoming than they were. Dr. Geraldi conducted my eye exam. He seemed nice. But once I was able to read my eyeglasses prescription, I was left confused, because he left off my PD information, which is very informative when purchasing eyeglasses online. I plan to call them tomorrow in hopes to gain the information I need. I may not return to this location, primarily due to the front desk staff and their abrupt behavior.

I went here for my last eye exam and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. Unfortunately, Dr. Cioara was not friendly and very condescending for absolutely no reason. I will not be back.

I’ve been going here for going on three years and had no issue until recently. The doctor rewrote my prescription and gave me new contacts unfortunately the contacts didn’t work for me. As I was putting in the contacts I told the physicians I can’t see out of my left eye . His response was oh that’s fine you’ll adjust five minutes later still not adjustment he repeated the same information . The prescription in which they had written I couldn’t see out of clearly. Mind I work in retail what I deal with anywhere between $60k+ cars daily and Handle sensitive information such as Social Security not being able to see isn’t an option for me. I called them and ask them to re-write the prescription back to the old they proceeded to tell me that they were going to charge me another 40 bucks when they’re the ones that made the mistake of writing the wrong prescription to begin with. As a physician you should not be making this mistake to prescribe someone a prescription in which they can’t see out of one eye. This isn’t acceptable. My husband and I will no longer be going here.

The team at the front desk were friendly and Professional. Dr Kwon is amazing! After years of not being happy with my vision she did a thorough exam and my new glasses are incredible. Great Job, strongly recommend them!

I was very disappointed in my visit. I made an appointment and had to wait over an hour to have my eye exam. The staff was very abrupt and not concerned with the fact I had been sitting for an hour. I would not come back here ever for the fact that it took forever and I was blown off when I brought the time to their attention. The doctor himself was wonderful but the atmosphere here was not for me.

She should be on the show horrible bosses..she talks down and be littles her employees. She even goes as far as patting them on the top of their heads. When her patients leave she talks about them.I would not recommend her as a doctor nor employer..

I made an appointment and arrived a few minutes early. People at the front desk were cordial and welcoming. All that changed when two technitions took me to the first exam room. Neither introduce themselves, neither said anything to me except "put your chin here", "take off your glasses", "move your chair here". I tried a little small talk, they didn't even answer me. I felt like I was on an assembly line being led through the testing without being treated as a person. Finally, I asked if one of them was the doctor. They said no they were the technitions. I asked to talk to the doctor and to have them present when I did. The stood like robots as the doctor came in, introduced herself, and said "I understand there is a problem." I explained that she (the doctor)had just modeled the correct way to treat clients but that neither of the technitions had so much as introduced herself, and that neither was wearing a name tag. I explained that neither of them had so much as spoken to me other than to issue orders. The doctor seemed to 'get it'. The the doctor introduced them as Miss _______ and Miss_______ and said that one was there overseeing the work of the other. When I asked: "So how are they doing?" The doctor said: "They're doing great; they really are not allowed to engage in idle chit chat." With that I ended the eye exam and left. Eye exams should not be done as if the person is merely a set of eyes, but with the understanding that they are people. Saying 'hello' and introducing oneself should not be seen as idle chit chat but rather good patient/client communication. I was very disappointed.

I have EyeMed insurance and found Lenscrafters and C-Luminous in Charlottesville through the EyeMed website. I made an appointment to have a routine eye exam for a new eyeglass prescription. I gave the girls at the office my EyeMed insurance information, but they were very aggressive about getting my medical insurance information. I didn't want them to file a claim with my medical insurance because I have a $3,000 deductible, but they insisted. To make a long story short, they filed the claim with my medical insurance, and they denied the claim because C-Luminous conducted a medical exam, not a routine eye checkup. I did not ask for a medical exam, I did not want a medical exam, and I did not need a medical exam. I asked for a new prescription for my eyeglasses. I'm 64 years old and she said I may or may not, at a future date, develop cataracts. Not a problem now, no need to do anything but keep getting annual checkups. For that piece of useless advice I had to pay $130 out of pocket. And she threatened to charge me a 5% penalty if I didn't pay within a few days. I was deceived and scammed, and she has lost my business. I have a right to decide whether I get a medical exam or a routine eye checkup. She didn't have the right to force that on me without my consent. She has lost my business, because I won't be back.
