Knowledgeable friendly staff who also play tennis. Great "mom and pop" local shop.

My first time stopping by the shop today and had a great visit. The owner there took plenty of time walking me through rackets and string. Just an enjoyable experience all the way around. Great selection too!

What a great shop! I needed help with tennis shoes that accommodated a foot problem. The gentlemen there knew just which shoe would work in this situation. He was quite knowledgeable and helpful. I would never received this expert help at one of the big sports stores.

Great little place. I enjoyed going there. They have pickleball and tennis merchadise. They are also willing to let you use a demo paddle to practice if you're new for tennis. Very friendly.

I went from buying online back to getting my tennis&squash gear at this place, because they preselected top quality equipment and let you try it out. Super nice owner, knowledgeable advice, competitive prices.

Charlottesville Tennis Pro Shop is exactly the kind of local business that I go out of my way to support. Lew has been great helping me along as I demo'd and purchased my first high-quality tennis racquet. Their tennis racquet demo program is awesome, by the way. But I think what has impressed me most is that he is always extremely honest and forthright about how to approach purchasing equipment, even when it isn't advantageous for the shop's bottom line. For instance, when I brought in my racquetball racquet to get restrung (since the strings had broken), he told me that it would be smarter to save some money for a bit to spend on a higher-quality racquet rather than paying $25 to get my cheap, flimsy racquet restrung all the time (which would have made the shop more money). When I was ready to buy a higher-end racquet, I went in to see Lew and he set me up with a high-end racquet, on sale and within my price range. I've had it for two years and t is as strong as ever. The shop has high-quality equipment for beginner, intermediate, and advanced racquet sport athletes, and the customer service is fantastic. If you're looking for tennis, racquetball, or squash equipment (and shoes), take my advice and come here rather than going to a big chain store or purchasing blind online. You won't regret it.

So nice to have access to the resources of a specialty racquet sports shop! The shop seems to have a good supply of quality inventory and I think the prices are very reasonable. I like the different hybrid string jobs that the staff have done with my tennis racquets, and I also like that they are knowledgeable and willing to answer my questions. Lew, one of the owners, has given me great advice regarding tennis racquets, strings and shoes. Highly recommend to anyone who is serious about racquet sports.

First the location is wrong. Second all the items and services are way too overpriced. Not recommended.
