I recently rented a van from Enterprise for a two-day trip, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Let me break down the issues I encountered:Overcharged for Extra Days: Despite returning the van earlier than the agreed-upon rental period, I was billed for four days instead of the intended two. When I questioned this, the staff nonchalantly explained that they were “close” and therefore, the extra charges were justified.Rude Manager: When I called to dispute the charge, the manager’s attitude was nothing short of appalling. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, they were dismissive and borderline rude. Their response? “Dispute it if you want, but good luck.” Not exactly the customer service I expected. My experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car was frustrating, and I won’t be returning.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car has always taken care of us when it comes to car rental. They make vacations and road trips so much less stressful knowing the if there's any problems with the rental there just a call away...ThanksEnterprise Rent-A-Car

My experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the Pantops location in Charlottesville, VA, was a bit mixed. I rented an SUV while my car was in the shop, but despite calling ahead to confirm the vehicle type, I was initially told they only had a small sedan available. The staff seemed insistent that a mid-size is considered a sedan, although I was certain a Jeep Cherokee doesn't fall under the full SUV category. After browsing through a few options and even returning to switch cars on the same day, I settled for a Toyota Escalade, which wasn't my preferred choice but served the purpose for the two weeks. The check-in process was a bit confusing as charges were being applied daily, unlike my previous experiences where charges were settled upon returning the vehicle.Despite these hiccups, the staff was generally friendly, and their assistance throughout the process was appreciated. However, the discrepancies in vehicle availability and the unconventional billing approach left me with a less than stellar impression of this particular Enterprise location. Check out and shuttle was easy.

Easy to schedule, modify, and return my car rental. Guys working at the desk are friendly and courteous. The car was well taken care of and clean when I picked it up. I would absolutely use this location again if I needed to.

Great service at the Pantops location. Fast and easy to rent and return a car. Associates are knowledgeable and personable with great attitudes. Always able to get a live person on the phone (major plus). Wish they had open hours so you could return your vehicle Saturday or Sunday but overall, very pleasant experience.

You know, being disabled I would think enterprise would put a little extra attention when someone says they need hand controls but instead I've been dragged along for a week now, and they still can't get a vehicle in till monday when my vehicle is supposed to be ready, a week after when it was scheduled for despite telling multiple team members my need for hand equipment and having it noted in my file and being given multiple times it would be ready just to be told they had canceled it per my request which never occured. For a company that totes having one of the largest fleet of rentals its pathetic and disgusting the lack of care or concern you seem to have for someone disabled who already has enough mobility challenges as is. I would like to thank Courtney as she seemed to be the one team member who attempted to step up and and try to get things fixed while whatever manager or area manager have still yet to contact me or done anything to fix this situation.

Big wins for me while working with this company:1) Very friendly staff, acted professional throughout.2) I arrived early, and as a result they allowed me to pick up a vehicle ahead of schedule.3) When I saw the vehicle, I realized it was too small and needed something bigger. They helped accommodate an upgrade on the spot for a reasonable fee.One complaint:I accidentally left some items in the vehicle upon return. I understand this was my fault, Enterprise is not liable (they do a good job of having reminder signs everywhere to check your vehicle before returning). But, I wish they tried a little harder to preserve people's left behind items. I returned the car at 12pm, realized my items were missing that evening, and returned right after they opened at 8am the following business day. But, by the time I got there, I was escorted to the back of the building where my items were scattered all over the place. It was clear one large item in particular had been taken moments before I arrived. Others were across the street lying in the parking lot. I'm glad I got there when I did. I accept this was my fault, but many businesses have a "lost and found" or will kindly call customers when it's clear something important was left behind - they have your name and number already anyway. At least one can try. Instead, it felt like my stuff was treated a little bit like a free-for-all. Still, I got most of it back, and the manager kindly took down my name/phone to call if the other item turned up. I understand it is a very, very busy place. I believe the people here mean well, and I would work with them again.

Price for added insurance was more than I think it should have been. The Nissan preformed flawlessly. Had to make two trips to pick up the car. Waynesboro had none available so ended up going to Charlottesville

I am currently having a really bad experience with Enterprise. My car was damaged in an accident 2 weeks ago, and my insurance company set up a rental car through Enterprise. When I dropped my car off at the repair shop Enterprise was there with my car. When I was signing the rental forms on the agents tablet, it came to the insurance part, and I said I didn't need it. I have geico. He told me geico was giving me a discount and when I said I didn't want to pay what my options were he said to turn the car in. I needed the car to get to work, so I signed. A week and 300.00 later. I was talking to my insurance agent and was told I didn't need that, and she called enterprise. When she called me back, she said I had to call them to cancel and ask for a refund. I was told they would cancel it, but they didn't. I went in the office today, and they hemmed and handed and said it was now canceled. They won't refund any of the now 435.00 they have charged my card. This is a terrible fraudulent business.

I was able to reasonably rent a large vehicle from the Pantops Enterprise location. We had no problems with the vehicle. We had a great experience with the check-in and check-out process. The staff let us know what to expect all along the way which helped. I will definitely use their services again.
