We spent a weekend here celebrating our birthdays and recent engagement. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and Foxfield is by far our favorite. The inn is quaint, thoughtfully decorated, and very clean. Bridgette the Innkeeper made our stay memorable. She is not only very personable and caring she is an incredible cook.
The breakfasts were delicious and she was very accommodating to our dietary restrictions. The meals are thoughtfully prepared. We had lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes that were honestly one of the best pancakes we have ever had. Not to mention the homemade muffins she prepares daily!
We didn’t have time to take advantage of the outdoor space which is also beautiful. It includes a gazebo a hot-tub and a koi pond.
The location is perfect. It feels secluded but you are within 15-30 minutes to most attractions. We will definitely come back to stay here. Thank you Bridgette!

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. Beautiful, peaceful property, both inside and out. Our hostess, Brigette, was pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully plated. About 20 minutes from Monticello, Highlands, and Montpelier.

We spent our honeymoon at the Foxfield Inn and had a wonderful time. The complimentary breakfasts, and soaking tub in our room were particular highlights! More impressive though was the care, consideration, and attention to detail from the innkeeper, Brigitte. It’s clear especially in all the little things throughout the inn she maintains that she is incredibly thoughtful about her guests and invested in them having an enjoyable stay. She really went out of her way to make us feel special as a newly married couple!
The location of the Inn was great as well - there was easy access to Charlottesville and the surrounding wine region. Overall highly recommend the Foxfield Inn!!

Convenient location to Charlottesville and downtown. Amazing host and the house was so crisp and clean! Lovely grounds! It was a quick get away for us but we would definitely return! Breakfast was delish!

This was our 2nd time at Foxfield Inn. The Inn is located just outside of Charlottesville. Brigitte, the Owner, is so gracious and welcoming. Her breakfast is 5 stars as well!! The rooms are very comfortable with any amenities you may need. They also have a hot tub! We will be back!

My wife and I visited Foxfield Inn with some friends. We had a wonderful stay in this comfy Inn. Rooms with fireplaces were delightful. This was a quiet retreat. Living room, dining room coffe coffee bar were very comfortable and convenient. Breakfast was light and delicious. The inn was convenient to Motechello, shopping, UVA and many dinner options. The innkeeper is a true joy to get to know. We will definitely stay here again.

Owner/innkeeper Brigette Butz was a terrific host! She greeted us at the door when we arrived and gave us a tour of the inn, including the common sitting area, dining area, and rooms. The inn is all one floor, and looks out into a large backyard (understatement) with spacious grounds, large trees, firepit, and outdoor hot tub. If not the nicest B&B we've stayed in, certainly one of the best. Looking forward to going back!

My girlfriend and I recently spent an evening at the Foxfield Inn for a romantic getaway and absolutely loved it! As soon as we pulled in, Brigitte was ready at the door, giving us a tour of the property. The inn itself is incredibly well maintained and feels very homey. Our room was no exception, everything was in tip top shape. The beds were very comfortable and the fireplace did an amazing job hearing up the rooms.
The same can be said for the outside, just beautiful to walk around and enjoy the views, especially in the evening time. The hot tub was also perfect, very clean and well maintained. Great for a night time soak!
Lastly, the breakfast the next morning was sensational! Brigitte had prepared a lovely three course breakfast, and had asked ahead of time for my girlfriend dietary restrictions. She was very thoughtful and a perfect host. We will definitely be staying there again in the future!

My fiancée and I had a great 2-night stay here for our engagement weekend! Brigitte and her staff are very warm and welcoming and did an excellent job at making our visit so pleasant.
The Audubon Room was quite nice; I particularly appreciated the high-quality mattress and pillows. The various amenities both within the room and throughout the inn were thoughtful and both breakfasts were delicious. Decor and outside spaces are lovely also.
The location is very convenient to Charlottesville itself, Monticello, many wineries, etc.
I'd happily stay here again!

We spent 3 nights at Foxfield Inn and we enjoyed every minute. Brigitte is a wonderful host and an extraordinary cook. Her breakfast creations are as much a pleasure to look at as they are to taste.
Our room was spacious, comfortable, and immaculate. The furniture and the bed were all perfect. The A/C was silent and there is zero light pollution! We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the room and the amazing private view into the trees.
The grounds are lovely and include a large hot tub. We experienced a powerful nighttime wind storm while soaking. The enormous trees bobbing and weaving in the wind is a memory we will take with us.
Foxfield was a welcome retreat for us as we returned from a day of exploring the region. We saw Monticello, the James Madison house, various sites in Charlottesville and we hiked and swam in the wild country. We greatly appreciated the sources Brigitte provided and enjoyed 3 excellent restaurants with very different cuisine and atmospheres. Highly recommended.

The Foxfield Inn is an oasis in the heart of Virginia. We have just returned to the UK after staying in Inns across Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia and this is the best by far! From the moment we met Brigette we knew we would get along - perhaps it was our European heritage but we could not have wished for a more adorable host. The Inn itself is perfectly placed for our visits to the Blue Ridge Parkway (which was exceptional and free!) to our visit to Lexington which has to be the quaintest and most lovely town in Virginia. The 3 acres of grounds were perfect for both birdwatching and lazy evenings with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. Brigette has a professionals eye and everything was perfect down to the smallest detail and the breakfasts were the best we have ever had after at least 10 visits to the States. I cannot speak too highly of this ideal location. We only wished we lived nearer so we could visit more often.
A real treasure!🤗

I was looking for a very special place to celebrate a "baby-moon" getaway with my husband, and this place not only checked off all my boxes but exceeded every single expectation!! It was so peaceful and romantic, very clean and beautifully kept, and the gourmet breakfast was exceptional. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! I would heartily recommend this little piece of heaven to anyone, and I hope we can make it back again in the near future!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful my 5 night stay at the Foxfield Inn was. The comfortable elegance of the entire property was an invitation to relax and let the place support and nourish me. The beauty of the property and surrounding area made this a real retreat for me.The InnKeeper and staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The cleanliness of every bit of the Inn was so welcoming. The absolutely delicious gourmet breakfasts were amazing. I could not ask for anything more and will certainly return to stay when I travel in this area.

Was in search of a peaceful getaway for my significant other and I when I came across the Foxfield Inn. This inn is one of the higher rated inns in the area, so I arrived with high expectations. I’m more than happy to say that those expectations were met (and surpassed). Upon arrival, Brigitte greeted us warmly with a smile and gave us a tour of the home. In the morning, she can also be found serving home-cooked breakfast to guests, which in and of itself tastes absolutely amazing. She is a very personable innkeeper and very inviting and pleasant to be around. The property is exceptionally clean and our room was staged with care and efficacy thanks to its lovely staff. The offered amenities included in a stay at Foxfield Inn are more than sufficient. It is also within reasonable distance from any and all fun things in Charlottesville and the road to this Inn is complimented by beautiful scenery as well. In short, when searching for a place to take the mental load off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this Inn will leave you feeling refreshed and recharged. Very quiet and lovely place. If I could rate it higher than a 5/5, I would! Thanks for a great stay!
