We didn't go in for a specific item but ended up getting some clothes, shoes and kitchen items.

This is the most unorganized Goodwill I've ever seen. The only thing I found was Jesus in lingerie.

Their return policy is a scam. They won't let you try things on and when you try to return them they only give you a store credit. Total scam.

Im putting a 3 instead of a 1 because i generally like this store a lot, but i just had a bad experience. I went about a week ago, the cashier was super distracted, she was shouting to someone at the back of the line to grab her the pants she wanted, im assuming she cant shop on the clock and wanted them before someone else got them. It was a little frustrating, but no big deal. She asked if i wanted my reciept in the bag, i said yes, she then started talking to the person in line again about the pants, didnt bag the rest of my stuff. I bagged the rest of the things and she said “sorry! Thought i got those!” I said no worries and left. I got a dress and it didnt fit, went to see today if they would take it on exchange. I waited in line for ages because they said only one person could do returns, and when i finally got up there the lady blankly said “no”. I explained how i dont think cashier put the reciept in the bag due to being distracted, and that i didnt realize at the time she didnt put it in there. She still said no.
I was frustrated but it is what it is, that is until she jerked the dress away from me. I grabbed it back and said “no, this is mine now” to which she asked me if i had a reciept….. 🙄
I left with my dress but she was clearly reluctant to let me leave with it, i told her she could check the cameras, that i had it on me at all times and never once opened my bag when i was in the store. So in addition to not getting my reciept because of cashier fault, not getting a return because of cashier fault, i had something i paid for jerked away from me, and had i not grabbed it back she probably wouldve refused to give it back to me. Treated like a criminal over a $7 dress, ridiculous.

Gwen is an amazing employee. The store itself is yucky though

Huge goodwill store, largest I’ve ever seen! Very good selection of items (unsurprisingly given the size), but the clothing is not well sorted and the different racks are not well labeled either, which makes it hard to find what you’re looking for. The staff were friendly & helpful during my visit, and I was ultimately able to find a couple items I liked. I would definitely come here again, as long as I know I have enough time to search through everything to find what I want.

Unable to try on any clothes. They state that they have a 14 day return policy, but I love 2 hours away so this doesn't help. ?♀️

Y'all we gotta stop shopping at Goodwill. These prices are absurd. Stains on multiple clothing items. Filthy shoes for eight bucks...dimly lit, smells nasty in the store, no fitting rooms. Why would I shop here? I'm better off buying newer, cheaper goods and donating directly.

Watch out.
Closed the changing rooms. Which means if you want to see if something fits you have to buy it.
When I was at checkout, they said I could return it within 14 days and get my money back. Did that and they give you store credit on a very flimsy recipt paper. Which is not what the checkout person said.
Just read in another review that once you have store credit, you only have 7 days to use it and if you don’t use it all, you loose it.
My purchase was in the Charlottesville one and I returned it to the Ruckersville one. I thought I was getting $20 back but the guy handed me a small piece of paper with a small square code and no instructions.
Besides for prices going up, they now make it impossible to see if something fits and return it. I used to love thrifting thru goodwill. But not anymore.

Rude service at drop off, I want to donate and you want to tell me how to unload my vehicle? And scoff at me when I ask you handle a pricey item carefully?! Ugh.
Is it bad enough that they are so disorganized and smelly inside the store? No? Oh well. I won't be back
