My only negative comment is the receptionist wasn’t friendly over the phone or in person. While there, an elderly lady came in and needed help carrying her cat in. She was told she’d have to wait for help. That’s understandable but the way (tone) in which she said it is what bothered me. My spouse carried her cat in and she whispered to me that the receptionist wasn’t nice the last time she was in. It wasn’t just me that noticed her behavior.

Our dog got into something she shouldn't have. I was so grateful Greenbrier was open late night to help us out. Staff and doctor were amazing!!!

I was so impressed with the swiftness, kindness and care involved in every interaction I had- from the initial call to being discharged with a little medicine bag with a heart on it. I was in such a daze and I wish I remembered everyone’s name to shout them out, but I hope the staff knows that I’m so appreciative of everyone involved. My cat is healing and I feel at ease knowing there’s such a knowledgeable team near me for emergencies. Thank you!

Our tiny Pomeranian has been sick and needed to have medical care through the night. I was amazed at the care she received at Greenbrier. A vet examined her and came up with an extensive plan for my little one. i was so impressed with all she did! The staff was so friendly. I was upset because I i had to leave her overnight but after seeing the staff with her I felt so comfortable leaving her with this group. I would definitely recommend and will use again if I need to. Thank you so much!

The staff at Greenbrier Emergency Animal Hospital did a wonderful job taking care of my 13-year-old labrador who experienced her first seizure. They were prompt and caring, and sent a follow-up email to check on her. They turned a very scary experience into a comforting one. :)

On behalf of Lexi ‘s family, I’d like to thank the entire staff at Greenbrier for their care during our several visits and the compassion their staff showed during the last hours of our beloved pet Lexi.

Ever since my regular vet neglected to check my dog over and greenbrier looked ger over and told me straight that she wasn't okay and had a blockage that was more than likely a tumor in her rectum and helped me make the right decision to put her to sleep. I trust them with any pet emergency and I've been bringing my pets here anytime they have had an emergency after that. They are so kind and empathetic to the people who come in and I have never had a bad experience with them.

We were told time expectations before we left the house and they pretty much kept with it. The front staff were gracious and caring. The vet was detailed in her care and treatment. Thankfully our dog Melvin was less severely lnjured than we thought, so that was a plus. The cost for the visit was reasonable considering it is after hours care and they did a thorough job of assessing and treating him.

The encounter with the absolute RUDEST receptionist was uncalled for. She literally talked to us like we were stupid. Apparently there was a late fee added to a bill, she made it a point to remind us SEVEN times that it needed to be paid by 6pm that evening. We are not stupid people, you can say something once, and we understand clearly. I don't know what type of people this particular place hires, but HR needs to rethink their process, if this is the type of people they hire to deal with the public. This deserves zero stars because this place is the worst. Please don't take your pets to this place.

I called Greenbier Emergency because my cat who has asthma was having serious attacks all night. The woman who answers the phone was not only rude but clueless. My cat was turning blue from coughing and she told me that he was coughing because he was happy to see me...she almost killed my baby.

Thank you so much for taking Bruno in when we couldn't be seen anywhere in Richmond. He didn't make it :(. I was emotional when I was there and do not remember the names that helped me. But you guys showed incredible kindness thank you thank you. And this card was so thoughtful.

Our 10 year old boxer Zeus unexpectedly and urgentLy was diagnosed with a spleen mass that had ruptured. He was urgently sent from our vets office to Greenbrier Emergency Animal Hospital. I had kids at home, so unfortunately my husband had to go be there with Zeus. This staff was absolutely amazing from the moment he walked in. Unfortunately, Zeus did not make it, but the staff showed so much kindness during this hard time. Since our kids weren't able to say goodbye to him, the staff made 3 (one for each of our kids) paw prints made out of clay to take home. A week later, we received a hand written card, signed by all of the staff, letting us know they were thinking of us. We are incredibly thankful, and will always remember them!
