I made a reservation to rent a car at this location, used an uber, got to the place only to be told it has been shut down and I had to spend extra to go to a different Hertz location to pick the car up. I was not even given an email that they were closing that branch.Which is not professional.

I used AAA to book a trip 2 months ago and made the reservation for a vehicle to be picked up at this location at a specific date and time. When I arrived, which was about 10 minutes early to pick it up, I was told they had no vehicle available that I had already requested and reserved. They called other hertz locations around to try to find another vehicle. I was told I’d have to wait until someone could locate such type of vehicle for 6 people, a car seat plus luggage for a trip to Disney. I spent 4 hrs there waiting and waiting and waiting. I finally was able to reach the hertz customer service and speak with someone. They asked to speak with someone there working and the guy was rude and smart with the customer service rep. No one bothered to check prior to the pickup date to confirm my reservation nor did they bother to call in advance and let me know a mini van would not be available. I left and went elsewhere where I was given a 12 passenger van to accommodate my needs. I will not recommend this hertz location to anyone as the customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. This will be the last time I use hertz for a rental car need.

I've heard this location will unfortunately close. I've been using it without any issues for over an year now. Unfortunate that they will only keep a Hertz in the airport, might have to change to a different car rental that's closer to downtown Cville

HANDS DOWN THE RUDEST, MOST RACIST AND DISRESPECTFUL LOCATION I'VE EVER USED!!! HANDS DOWN!!! SMH EVEN DISTRACT MANAGERS IGNORE VALID COMPLAINTS AND CONCERNS. BUT THEY GET TO ILLEGALLY LOCK AND RUIN PEOPLE LIVES PAYING THEM FOR A SERVICE. Employee says to me the other day while renting me a dirty and pet hair filled vehicle "that insurance claim rentals take priority, and that I really (my money) didn't matter" ...what a joke for staff. The little small African man that works there came to my job talking about " damn I wish you had your own place" (living with children) when i had to politely shut him down, letting him know he was too little for me...what a joke staff they have in there now. SMH. Ps. The 1 star is definitely STILL TOO MUCH FOR THIS LOCATION ??And after reading the other reviews after I wrote mine....I KNOW IM VALID.HERTZ....PLEASE SPARE MY YOUR FAKE APOLOGIES AS IVE BEEN TRYING TO REACH OUT TO DISTRICT MANAGERS AND OTHERS FOR 2 MONTHS NOW.

Just picked a rental , it has damage, and filthy inside and out!!! Worker said they have no help to clean idk , but had no choice at the moment but no more! Not the Meade location going to Rio Rd next time.

I never leave bad reviews, but due to the multitude of issues I encountered during my recent rental experience with Hertz, I felt compelled to let other potential renters know what to expect.On July 31st, I collected a rental vehicle from the Hertz outpost at 7355 Canoga Avenue in California, as per my reservation. Unfortunately, on August 8th, the vehicle experienced an unexpected engine malfunction in Virginia, rendering it inoperable and leading to a series of inconveniences.Following the breakdown, I faced an extended wait for AAA to collect the car, causing significant disruption to my plans. I then coordinated with Hertz outlets at CHO airport and Meade Ave to secure a replacement vehicle, with the understanding that my new drop-off location would be in Virginia. However, upon receiving the replacement vehicle, it exhibited maintenance issues such as illuminated tire, oil, and filter indicators, alongside an empty gas tank. This led to further inconvenience, compounded by the necessity to swap the vehicle at the Meade Ave location.Throughout the rental period, I engaged in numerous discussions with Hertz personnel in attempts to resolve these issues, only to receive contradictory information and instructions. On October 2nd, upon attempting to return the rental vehicle, I was informed that the car needed to be returned to the Canoga Park location, contrary to prior assurances.Despite efforts to address these concerns via communication with the General Manager at the Canoga Park location, promising a resolution in coordination with Mr. Riese, no further response or assistance was provided.Moreover, after being told that there would be no additional charges for changing the drop-off location, I was later subjected to an unauthorized charge of $1,511 on October 31st, a month after I had already returned the vehicle and settled my final bill. This unauthorized charge was issued without any accompanying receipt or explanation, leaving me utterly perplexed.My overall experience with Hertz has been unsatisfactory, marked by a lack of accessible senior management and frontline employees with limited authority to address customer-related issues effectively. This lack of support and inconsistent information have left customers stranded with no avenue for satisfactory resolution. Additionally, the evident high turnover of staff members indicates internal issues that likely contribute to this poor customer experience.Given these numerous unresolved issues and the unauthorized charge, I am deeply disappointed and cannot in good conscience recommend Hertz as a reliable rental service provider. The level of service and the resulting experience have been both subpar and distressing.

Reserved a car a week in advance. Showed up to pick it up at my scheduled time and was told that there is no car available. No one called ahead of time to make me aware that my reservation would need to be canceled. I asked if there were any options at nearby locations as I needed the car to travel the following day. No compensation or options were given to me. The guy at the counter just told me to go to another vendor.A reservation ahead of time means nothing here. Don't let them ruin your travel plans.

Disturbing Rental Experience at Mead Avenue Hertz Location -- Strongly Advised to AvoidI am writing to bring to your attention a deeply troubling experience I had back in May at the Hertz car rental location on Mead Avenue. I am requesting a full refund for my rental and an immediate investigation into the location's unprofessional conduct. The employee should be terminated, and sued for intentional infliction of emotional distress and charged with consumer fraud. Please find a summary of the incident below:1. Despite having a prepaid reservation, the location's employee refused to accept my Apple Card for payment, causing significant inconvenience.2. The employee's behavior during the interaction was aggressive and hostile, shouting and using derogatory language, which made me feel targeted and threatened.3. The Hertz employee threatened to call the police on me without any valid reason, causing me physical distress, including an increased heart rate and acute chest pain.4. The employee attempted to double-charge me and falsely advised me to contact Apple for a refund. However, Goldman Sachs, the card issuer, has confirmed that the merchant is responsible and has initiated a dispute process on my behalf. Discover will also be initiating their own dispute process.5. The initial vehicle provided had a strong marijuana odor, necessitating a replacement.6. I made multiple attempts to extend the rental and make arrangements to return the vehicle to another location. Employees at that location provided false information, claiming that I could not return it at any other location. They even pretended not to speak English well, which seemed suspicious.7. That location then attempted to repossess the vehicle. However, after speaking to someone at Hertz, the repossession was halted, and it was verified that I could return the vehicle at any location I wanted.8. I returned the vehicle in its original condition with a full tank of gas. I chose not to return it to the Mead Avenue location due to concerns that they intended to frame me for damage I did not cause. This suspicion arose because they insisted on the vehicle being returned to them, despite other options being available.9. Numerous online reviews describe similar experiences at this location, indicating a pattern of unprofessional conduct and potential fraud.Given the severity of my experience, I feel compelled to share my negative experience in reviews and explore legal options to protect my interests.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The car had a strong odor of Marijuana and air freshener. It was the first time I ever rented a car with a Febreeze device installed on the air vent. I signed that I would not smoke in the car or face a steep fine. Whoever broke the rule before me probably paid the fine. For my rental, the dealership addressed it with an air freshener. The cabin filter and upholstery needed cleaned. Car was provided with 1/4 tank gas.

Today I had an employee from Hertz rental car from Charlottesville va Meade location to come in my place of business while I had customers. Asking about who was driving the black charger telling informing me that hertz asked him to track down the vehicle. It was so embrassing for that to take place in my place of business. He was rude and he has always been rude to us whenever we rent from that hertz location. I will be calling hertz about the situation.

They guys deserve their shitty rating. I ordered a car from an online cs rep. When I got there I was informed that they had no cars. What bullshit! I also called three times and no one ever answer the phone.

Extremely unprofessional was told by roadside assistance after the first hertz vehicle broke down within 6 hours of driving, that the manger Ken said there is a fully charged electric vehicle available once we get there it’s barely at half charge and they can’t even charge vehicles at their location let alone lied to us about the charging locations in the area and ofcourse no other vehicles were available. Will never do business with Hertz again!

Rented vehicle through Hertz app for delivery to Signature FSO-CHO 3/15. Never delivered car or answered location phone. Had to cancel and go with competitor. Extremely poor customer service. Recommend cleaning house or extensive training.

Went in yesterday morning looking for a rental, dude who seemed like he ran the place sat us down and ended up taking $250 cash from us and proceeded to put the $500 deposit on our account. Turns out the entire rental was only $150, so where did that extra cash come into play? Place seems like a low budget scam at this point. Little to no help from the location after calling Hertz customer care.
