I originally left the 5 star review below in 2017. I need to change it though because today is the 2nd time in a month that I've driven over here only to find their doors locked during "open hours". No sign on the door explaining what's going on, nothing. Their recording says they're open til 9pm today (it's a thursday). What the heck is going on here lately? I don't want them to close because I shop here often but this is ridiculous. At least let your customers know what's going on.2017 ReviewPros:Friendly, helpful staff. Great selection of fabric. Lots of clearance fabric to browse through too. Restroom available for customers. There is a Viking Sewing Store inside the JoAnn's. I purchased a sewing machine from them recently and received very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable service when it came to selecting the best one for my needs. A free "Get to Know Your Machine" class comes with any sewing machine purchase. The Viking Sewing Store also offers affordable, fun, group sewing classes to make all sorts of neat projects.JoAnn's always offers great discounts and coupons either through texts, their website or their mobile app.Cons:The wait at the cutting table can be lengthy when there's only one employee staffing it.Shopping tip: If there's a long line at the cutting table, grab a number 1st and THEN go around to hunt for fabric. Doing it this way, you can spend a 10 minute wait selcting fabrics instead of standing in line. They announce each number over an intercom so you don't have to worry about missing your turn if you're 5 aisles over drooling over the batik prints.

It was great as always. Wonderful merchandise to choose from and help to find items you are looking for. The Christmas displays were great. Lots of Gnomes I felt like I was in Gnome heaven.

Huge selection for what I needed; so much more than Michael’s for fabrics. It would be nice if we had one closer.

This location has a *huge* variety of all things fabric and crafty. The staff are great - friendly and helpful. However, the store itself is cluttered, completely crammed with shelving units and boxes of things to be stocked in the middle of the larger aisles. The sheer volume of items is overwhelming and somewhat unpleasant to navigate through, and visually oppressing...almost like walking into a hoarder situation.

I stopped by this store to purchase two sheets of 4.5’x11’ fabric. There were two people helping me in that department, and I explained at least five times what I needed. One of them was new, and the other one had to explain to her how to cut the fabric. I then took the fabric up to the register, and I noticed that they only gave me one sheet that was folded, so I had to go back to that department and ask them to cut another one for me. After she did that, I took both of them to the front of the store and paid for them. I then drove 20 minutes back to my office, unrolled them and saw that she cut two 4.5’ x 33’ sheets. Even though I told them several times I needed 4.5’ x 11’ sheets.I was very frustrated, went back to the store and explained it to customer service. She apologized, but then she directed me back to that department because they had to remeasure it. I told her that she gave me the incorrect lengths, but she didn’t apologize, instead just told me that she would cut the correct lengths for me. I told her that I just wanted to refund, so she unrolled everything and told me that there was in fact 11 yards of fabric. I explained that I’ve never wanted 11 yards, I wanted 11 feet. Still, no apology. The manager then came over and suggested that I was partly at fault telling me that they normally work in yards, and that this was a lot of fabric to take back based off of a miscommunication. Before I purchased everything I even showed them a diagram and explained that I needed two sheets to cover most of a 10’x10’ frame. I just don’t understand how they could interpret that as “I want two sheets that are 4.5’x33’ to cover most of the frame.” Just a waste of time coming here.

Beware!!! My mother was purchasing fabric for an dress and tried one form of payment. The cashier said there was incident funds so she paid in cash. After checking with her bank the payment went through and there was no issue with her account. So the store was either was paid twice or the cashier pocketed the cash. She has spoken with management several times and keeps being told they are researching the issue. Retailers use to train staff about the scammer customers, at this retail establishment it is reversed. Not to mention this is rather poor management to be so passive about a serious issue.

Normally love Joann's but this particular store the staff and manager were not very good... I had ordered an Ottlite from Joann's website. It arrived in a very battered box, was obviously not a new item because you could tell the box had been previously opened and taped back together. I didn't particularly care I was fine with an opened box item. Took the item out, put it together and nothing. I had been sent a return item that didn't work.Because the nearest Joann's was 45 minute drive from me I called and explained the situation and asked if they had the Ottlite in the store and could I come & make a straight exchange. I was told yes to both.We arrived at the store the new assistant manager at the front of the store was very scared to make a decision and wanted us to do the work finding a replacement lite... I was willing to do that but he finally called an associate to find the lamp as I'd never been to their store before. The associate brought up a similar lite because apparently the one I purchased online was discontinued. There was a considerable price difference and he wanted me to pay an additional $80 for the difference. I said no because I was sent a broken item from his company I shouldn't have to pay for that.I went back in the store found the same lite & took it up front... there was a $10 price difference and he still wanted me to pay the difference... I said no he offered to call the store manager. The store manager came up to the front, looked down her nose at me said "I've got more important things to do, just waive the $10" and walked away like I was a bother to her.So I'm happy I got the lite I ordered but was not happy about the way I was treated.
