Martha Jefferson House provides senior living with elegance and grace within a house that was originally built in 1921. In 1957 Hunter Perry purchased the Georgian style home at the end of a private cul-de-sac and created what it is today. Located just off Rugby Road near the University of Virginia, it's an opportunity for UVA students to volunteer, as well as alumni to live near the grounds once more. We have independent living, assisted living and a healthcare center available on property. The shared purpose of the staff is... Martha Jefferson House is all about our residents, this is their home and it is our pleasure to care for them.

My father lives here, and they take wonderful care of him. I have been particularly impressed by how they have kept the residents safe during the pandemic. I am grateful to all the MJHouse staff--you are amazing.
