I'm always trying to go to First Friday art openings. The quality is impressive and the viewing options expansive. This photo is from the talented Bob Anderson, whose work opened May 2024.
McGuffey Art Center, located one block from the Downtown Mall in a historical school building, is one of the oldest artist-run cooperative art centers in the country. The art center currently houses 48 renting artists with open studios and 6 incubator residency artists. The art center is open to the public to view monthly exhibitions which showcase works by artists in our association and within our greater Charlottesville community. McGuffey also hosts group tours, workshops, classes, summer art camps, and community events. To find out more about our artist community, check out our website.
