No counter-bypass since this is a small airport, but customer service is excellent. Kudos to folks working Dec 8 early evening.

It was a complete disaster. I booked a reservation online. I took an Uber there, they told me that they would not honor my reservation because they didn't have my vehicle. I mean cant they email me or call me ahead of time. I wasted $80 my money thanks to them.

Flew into Charlottesville only to be told my confirmed reservation couldn’t be honored. I book rental cars a couple hundred days out of the year. If you’re a business traveler, beware. They may just leave you stranded!

Terrible bad service,,make sure you read contract you sign it very careful with them especially for bring it back clean they will over charge your credit card more what it should be

My company did a long term rental with National for 5 years. We would do 10 month rentals at a time. After Covid I had to switch to a new vehicle. We rented a premium car. They wouldn't honor the premium rental and put me in a Ford Fusion. The lot was full of available cars. Needless to say we are finished with National and purchased a company car.

The national rental counter was conveniently located at the Charlottesville airport and my car was ready and waiting, within easy walking distance.The car was clean, filled with gas, and ran perfectly. I will continue to use National for all my car rental needs.

First car smelled of cigarette smoke so we asked for an exchange. The manager immediately offered to go prep another vehicle. In the end they upgraded us with a beautiful Mercedes with leather interior. Not complaining!

National Car Rental is the only car rental company I use, and they consistently provide great customer service, clean cars, and are helpful. Particularly the DCA airport, Charlottesville airport, and Raleigh-Durham airport locations.

I’ve been a frequent renter from National for about ten years, with the past several dozen rentals from the Charlottesville, VA airport location. While there’s no Emerald Aisle at the small airport, the rental desk experience is quick, professional and friendly. The staff are engaging, they know my profile and preferences, and they consistently ensure that I’ve got a couple of good choices relative to selected vehicles. Each of the cars or SUV’s has been spotless and ready to go, including the correct tire pressures which does matter on a long distance drive or bad weather. The value proposition of renting for a long drive rather than putting highway miles on one of our own cars is exceptional. This has become our standard practice and National really makes that a pleasure.

44,000 miles. Metric speedometer which you can't change. Canadian plates. Overdue service. Touch screen is requesting a wifi for update. You have to be joking. My visit to this location last month got me a stripped Altima with 41,000 miles and a filthy windshield. All this for an Emerald Executive Elite customer. Avoid!
