My husband and I came here specifically for Hoka shoes. Both Richard and the other employee that worked in the Public Lands side (I didn't get his name) were very helpful and professional. We will definitely come back.

Large outdoors/camping/backpacking retail store. Selection and prices are better than Dicks, but not at the level of a full size REI. In the Cville area this store is probably the best option.

Huge and clean store. Good selection of various things you may need. Friendly service telling us where we can find certain items (like a specific hat we came in for).

Bought a Lew’s Combo at Public Lands and Kevin helped me thru the whole process. He even lined my reel which was a HUGE help. I know when I come back again I’m gonna ask for Kevin. Thanks for all the help.

Hilarious that past reviews think the store is “missing” hunting gear. I guess they don’t understand why the store was opened in the first place. Giving a 2 star rating as the average size woman in the US is a 14/16 but they don’t sell apparel for them. Yes! Bigger bodied people spend time outside and are active. Try selling sizes that people can actually wear. You’re throwing money out the window. Bike dept service was great
