I am not sure why the rating isn't at least 4 stars across-the-board! When I review/rate places, I try and look at it as a whole and yes, some of the particular details as well. I account for imperfections (because no one is perfect) and lastly, the general feel of how an establishment makes me feel is very important! With all that being said, Home2 suites is amazing! Because of contractors, and issues with my apartment. I have been staying in hotels for over a month. I have switched a few times because of supply and demand. What I can say is, of the 4 places I have stayed Home2 Suites is by far the best! This is my experience from my past 2 lengthy stays: Home2suites has been consistently friendly, welcoming, definitely accommodating, and kind. They make me feel always wanted and cared for by each and every staff member I have had communication with. I have a king size suite, and it is very reasonably priced. My room is clean in good condition and has all the amenities one could ask for.! There is a full-size fridge with a separate freezer in my room! This is very important if one would want to freeze water bottles have frozen dinners, ice cream, etc. Many hotels have fridges with tiny freezers that are connected inside the fridge. So the freezer part never really stays frozen. Bathrooms have all the tissues towels, shampoo, soap, and conditioner, make up wipes, hair dryers, and everything else you can think ofTV is huge and easy to figure out attaching my fire stick ( for Netflix,Hulu, etc.) I love how this hotel has full-size washers and dryers!!! These are free to all the guests and they're down by the gym, just bring your own washing soap. (Or you can buy it there) Breakfast is free and every day omelettes are made, muffins, granola, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal you name it...you got it !When I wanted a certain kind of coffee, they took the Keurig out and put a different machine in (maybe Nepresso?) for my coffee tastes!! How cool is that! Anyway, I could go on but this hotel is amazing whether you want a room or a suite they got you covered! You can literally walk to the downtown mall or IX park which are both great places for Saturday morning markets ! This is an extremely good location and beautiful property ... there is a really nice outdoor covered seating area with a fire pit right by the front entrance! And I think I saved the best for last ... the STAFF !!! I don't know who does your hiring, but they have done well. These employees are some of the best people I have met and I live in Charlottesville ! Well done Home2 Suites, I definitely will be back and I will send any out-of-town friends (who can't stay with me) straight over to you !

Our little family had a wonderful stay at this hotel while attending a concert. Our four legged family member felt welcomed by the friendly staff, and the accommodations were great. Not sure why this hotel is so poorly rated. It is walking distance from all the amenities, you CAN walk to Paul Jones Stadium (we did have to walk back from our concert), and it's pup friendly. My only complaint, no water bowls outside for the dogs. Pro tip: 4 minute walk from the hotel, the best SAKE brewery with great food and dog friendly. Check out North American Sake Brewery!

Disgusting breakfast bar, not maintained, supplied or cleaned properly. No dishes available. No grace period on breakfast closure. I arrived the first day at 8:57 am and they were already shutting down. Better get there by 8:30! Checked into my room with a kitchen sink that looked liked dried vomit. No one answered front desk. Took 4 tries to get someone to clean it on the second day. 2 separate housekeepers claimed it wasn't their room to clean. A barking dog woke us up 2 mornings, this hotel should learn to separate pet friendly rooms. My friends room smelled of disinfectant to hide pet pee smell. The elevator in parking lot was broken. This place is awful

Really bad experience with the stay and subsequent customer assistance. Went for a 2 night stay here with my two dogs, and as soon as I got in the room, my dogs went to sniff the room as usual, but they found a lot of chocolate chips under the bed and started eating them. Chocolate is toxic to dogs and they got sick shortly after as they are only 5lbs and even a small amount is awful for them. Spent the whole time taking care of them and tried to message the hotel/Hilton corporate afterwards. No response for over a week, then I reached out via online chat and they said "apologies for the inconvenience" as if my dogs' lives were just inconvenienced?? They then said they can offer me a one day stay at their hotel without saying anything remotely close to an apology. Truly unacceptable.Took the photo after I found out they had been munching on chocolate for the past few mins...

Just returned from an overnight trip to Charlottesville where we stayed at this Home2Suites. We had to connected rooms in a top floor. There were pros and cons.Pros - the breakfast was okay. I would even say the food was good. Met a few nice travelers.Food delivery for dinner was easy,Cons - Even though we checked in the day before, the dishwasher was running in both rooms. The rooms were not clean. There was a shoe sole in, and stains on, the desk chair. The refrigerator was dirty.A washcloth in the bathroom had make up stains. We had the 'Do not Disturb' signs out, yet a worker knocked on our door at 9:56am (check out is 11am) to 'see if we were checked out'. Needless to say that conversation did not go well. The worse part of all, we stayed in an accessible room and the wall plug used for my cpap machine blew out at 1:30am. I hate to think of what would have happened if I had a life saving medical device. We did not have high expectations due to COVID short staffs that continue to plague every industry. However, we will not be staying at this location again.

This hotel may possibly be one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. The rooms are MASSIVE. Accompanied with a full sized refrigerator, pull out couch, dishwasher, sink, more than enough dressers, a room divider, VERY BRIGHT LAMPS. Presented in a contemporary, sleek, and functional way. I also loved the heavy duty pull out roller table that is big enough for you to use anywhere. Did I mention the remote control DOUBLE SHADES? The breakfast was good and contemporary to serve yourself. Just open the case and serve yourself. The seating around and outside the hotel is contemporary and comfortable also. The heated pool was amazing too. The hotel is walking distance from the downtown mall. Did I mention the staff? The front desk person named TY manifested the spirit of this hotel. He was dressed nice everyday with a stylish and sheen blaze. Ty was professional welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. I throughly enjoyed my stay I will be back and stay at this hotel.

So the good thing about this hotel, is the staff is extremely friendly. The bad news is, they got our booking all wrong.1) The GPS will take you to the garage. We parked there and found the hotel by taking the elevator up. I asked the lady how you park out front and she said make a Uturn and come up the ramp. Not exactly sure what she was talking about, oh well.2) We had no idea that the hotel had a fire pit. Heard about it from another guest the day after.3) We booked a king bed with a rollaway. We got 2 beds. I called for a rollaway and those don't exist here.4) I put down a government discount. I got charged for a regular rate.5) I tried to contact the hotel and I never heard back.

So everything started so well then it didn't. The room looked great with a microwave sink, dishes and a refrigerator bigger than most NYC apartments. Honestly the kitchen was bigger than most Nyc apartments lol. The microwave stopped working, the bathroom smelled like raw sewage so we had to keep the door closed at all times.

We stayed here for two nights while attending a family wedding. The staff, Carolyn especially, made us feel very welcome, and made sure that all of our needs were met. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and kept us nice and cool. I loved the shampoo and body wash dispensers in the shower. The towels were thick and soft. I loved the neutrogena products that the hotel provided. The breakfast was adequate, but I would have liked a variety of fresh fruit, some flavored yogurt, and an assortment of bagels/muffins. The only downside was the parking charge of $8 per day!
