Horrible Post Office. To know tax-paying dollars goes to such a horrible operation with horrible support, is a shame. Thanks for losing my package and then not having half-decent service to fix the situation.

I really had a wonderful experience sending my mom's package. Semonia was wonderful and provided excellent customer service!! She gave recommendations on what shipping rate to choose as well as what type of packaging to purchase for my things. She also gave me praises when i packaged and labeled everything correctly. I was dreading to go based on the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised! I went on a Saturday around 1230. They close at 2 pm on Saturdays.

Do Not Work Here!! This place is a Disaster and it all begins with the incompetent Management. DEI hiring at its best. Everything is mismanaged, from pick ups, deliveries, and employee schedules. In the short time I was here, three of us quit. That’s why the Postal Service is constantly hiring. The whole system needs a revamp. Shut this agency down and rehire qualified candidates based on competency, who can lead. Never in my life have I seen such chaos and dishonesty. Oh, and don’t think the so-called “ Labor Union” Will support you in anyway. They are just as much a joke as the agency itself. RUN the other way! I wish someone had given me this advice before I started.

Every single time I buy online is good. Unless the package passes by Charlottesville.
Every single time it arrives here, instead of sending it to me, they send it back away, and it gets delayed.
One star is too good for this service.

As someone training to become a physician, accountability is a standard I live by—if I ever signed off on something I didn’t actually do, I’d face suspension, loss of licensure, or worse. Unfortunately, that same level of responsibility seems completely absent at this post office.
It’s become the norm in Charlottesville for USPS to mark packages as “delivered” even when they haven’t been. My USPS portal will confidently claim something is on my doorstep, yet it doesn’t arrive until the next day—or sometimes days later. That’s not just frustrating; it’s deceptive. I depend on that tracking system to be accurate. If your internal system says it’s “out for delivery,” then I should be able to trust that. Don’t mark it as delivered if it’s still in the back of the truck or sitting in your hub. I’d rather see a delay notification than be misled into thinking something has been stolen or lost.
The delays at the Seminole and Barracks location are frequent, and your hub seems consistently overwhelmed. I get that the USPS is facing budget cuts and systemic issues, but that doesn’t give this branch a pass on basic reliability. I urge you to consider consolidating operations with the other Charlottesville branch if it means improving efficiency and transparency.
And let me be clear—some of the items I receive are not optional. Medication like Mounjaro, which requires cold storage and costs thousands of dollars, cannot be mishandled or delayed. This isn’t just a matter of convenience—it’s about safety, cost, and trust.
There’s room for improvement here, and I sincerely hope this office takes it seriously.

Everyone here is always really nice and knowledgeable. I rarely have issues, but I understand every experience is different.

Arrived for our passport appointment and followed instructions according to the sign on the door (wait in the lobby for someone to call you). We waited for an hour and 40 minutes with our 4 month old & 3 yo (while staring at an empty passport room). No one ever called us back for the appointment. When we tried to speak to a lady at the mail desk, she first tried to claim we didn’t have an appointment. When I showed her our confirmation email, she told us to continue waiting. When I then tried to explain we just wanted to make sure the passport officer was aware we had arrived, she very quickly became confrontational and rude - basically yelling at me, while my 4 month old and 3 yo were present. She refused to notify the passport officer that we were waiting & refused to provide any help. We’d understand if they were backed up, or if others were waiting ahead of us - but the room was literally empty the entire time we were waiting. The lights in the room even turned off in the empty room at some point. We eventually gave up and made a new appointment with the city of Charlottesville.

They regularly fail to deliver my mail. Claim that it’s delivered and then refuse to do anything about it for weeks upon weeks. I never have problems with fedex, etc.
