Worst pharmacy ever. Every single time I have been here, they have a)put my prescription back after 24 hrs b) told me it was ready only to tell me when I arrived that only 3 tablets were filled and the rest would arrive in several days (not great when I drove 30 min out of my way) c) literally refused to fill a prescription my doctor called in because they had not personally checked for “conflicts” (regarding a covid medicine I was in desperate need of, and I didn’t need the pharmacy thinking they knew better than my doctor at that time or d) told me it was ready only to find that they actually didn’t have any of the medicine in stock whatsoever. Wegmans is such a great store - I am at a total loss as to why the pharmacy is so disorganized and bad.

This was my first interaction with them. My first question was to ask whether they had a specific medication IN STOCK. They said yes, so I asked if they could transfer my prescription. They said yes I went and did my shopping and returned about 30 minutes later. They had not completed the transfer but said it would take about another hour. I had limited transportation so I left with the person driving me. I should’ve at least heard from them by the next day but didn’t. So I called. The first guy I talked to was just trying to rush me off the phone and check whether I was registered for text updates. When I asked whether they had the medication in stocked I was somehow suddenly transferred. I spoke with a woman who told me my medication was coming in on a truck At noon (I had called them at 8:30, and I had dropped off the prescription yesterday at the same time). So I tried to ask again is the medication not in stock because I have limited transportation and I have to come up there earlier than noon. That’s when she gave me an attitude and told me it was not in stock. I don’t know what the issue with communication was but they have some nerve having an attitude with a person who’s just trying to get their medication. Obviously, if the medication was not in stock, I would have gone somewhere else.. They should not mess around with people’s medication so carelessly.. I was completely Out of the medication Which is why I asked them about their inventory in the first Place. Because the medication can cause withdrawal and permanent brain damage if suddenly not taken I would have gone to a different pharmacy That could have provided the medication at the time they said they would provide it. It is scary to think that they would behave in such a way. And also, not communicate to me that they couldn’t fill the prescription right away to begin with is crazy.

Really disappointed in the last experience. Was told 20 minutes an hour after the script was sent in — fine. With one else around, it still was not ready over 30 minutes later. Will no longer be filling here as a primary

Your pharmacist must be brand new, because she was totally out of line in my vaccine appointment. Instead of asking me about my preferences such as which arm I wanted my vaccine in, if she could touch my shirt sleeve, etc, she made assumptions and was demeaning and rude. I’m very dissatisfied with my pharmacy experience.

Wegmans pharmacy should NOT be trying to refill older prescriptions for meds no longer used. Contacting doctors for those refills and wasting everyone’s time . The patient decides not the pharmacy.

They consistently are out of stock on medications and the staff acts like it’s a minor inconvenience as opposed to the serious medical issue it will be when I miss my dose. No other pharmacy I’ve ever been to has this issue—is it that hard to stay stocked? Whoever is doing inventory, just order more medication beforehand, not when it’s suddenly an emergency. Never sending another prescription here.

The staff at the Charlottesville Wegman’s pharmacy went above and beyond the call of duty for us on the Fourth of July holiday. They had short hours and we had a medical urgency. Prescription was sent to them that was unusual and they didn’t have it. They got it transferred to another pharmacy quickly and resolved our issue. They were polite and kept me informed throughout the process while helping lots of other customers and preparing to close up. They didn’t even get our business that day but they will from now on!!!

This pharmacy used to be really great when the store first opened. Unfortunately, in the last year or so it seems like they never fill a prescription until you actually call and ask if it’s ready. We went back to Walmart.

Being a pharmacist seems like a really stressful job, at the same time people need their medications, so i understand both sides of these reviews. To sum up my review… line is long but that isnt wegmans’ fault, pharmacists are super nice and patient and they all work hard for us to get our medications on time.

Went to the pharmacy a little before 1000 today to fill prescriptions. Was told it would be about an hour before they would be ready and I agreed to wait. One prescription was ready in 30 minutes then it took another hour and half for the other 4. I had to go to the counter and ask what was taking so long! It took another 30 minutes to get prescriptions. Then I was overcharged and questioned the amount only to find out she could lower the cost to the correct amount?! Still left there without one prescription filled. Will NEVER use this pharmacy again. Gave two stars because two of the girls at the register were nice

This team is so incredibly kind and patient. I’m so thankful for the effort they put into helping customers get their medications at the most affordable rate. I’ve not witnessed this at any other pharmacy in Charlottesville. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Sick of Walgreens screwups. Transferring all my business to Wegmans. Has long line but three people working the counter made quick work of the line.
