“Speaking of a good fit, we always have a five star experience whenever we visit the Charlottesville Orvis location. Jake the store manager is our go to guy when shopping for our son, or myself. My wife and I know that he can show us exactly what we need for the occasion. Our most recent visit we needed to find something for our son's birthday and a few coordinating items to put aside for Christmas. Jake wears the brand well and is very knowledgeable. He has the perfect personality and you can tell he loves what he does. Now enough about Jake, let's talk about his amazing staff which is a great reflection of the excellent customer service and assistance you will receive in case Jake is out on the fly! There is always a great variety in store to choose from, as well as, free shipping in case you need to order your item. Just in case you just aren't sure what to choose, they have gift cards too.”

“Wonderfully welcoming customer service and beautiful work. I had a jacket zipper repaired that two other alterations businesses would not do due to an odd placement of a snap and they quoted the repair to be almost as much as the jacket cost. I brought it in to Hisami’s and the jacket was repaired quickly, very affordable, and it looks just like it did when it was new. I will definitely be returning!”
“Iconic gear with fashion that's finally caught up. Clothing that seems a level above the REI brand in quality and can hang with more mainstream outdoor gear companies. Ultralight is not their thing, but no worries. I'd like to see more affordable options in the future as outdoor provisions continue to move into the middle class price range which inevitably excludes lower income families.”
“This is a cute boutique and I wish we had more shops like it on the Corner. They primarily carry women's clothing but also have fun trinkets and decor in stock. A lot of their items are UVa/Charlottesville themed -- make great gifts for friends! Some of their items can be a bit pricey, but they do have great sales and a wide selection -- I have come in for formal dresses and for oversized tees. I have found the staff very friendly in my experiences here! When I ask questions they are quick to help, and they always say something nice when you leave the dressing rooms in a new outfit. There are finches in the store like other reviews have said, but I think to say that that is unethical is a misconception. The birds have a cage large enough for them to move and fly about in, it is stocked with toys and food. I have seen staff (maybe the owner) interact with the birds while I am shopping, so they are given attention. I have seen no signs of aggression in my many, MANY moments watching the birds while friends browse the store, meaning they are likely well socialized. Overall I think this is a cute place to stop, especially for students already near the Corner.”
“First of all i wanna start this review by saying most of these “PEOPLE” that write these reviews. Clearly don’t have a clue on how they act. Ive seen so many customers over and over again treat the works as if they weren’t people to. They are not slaves, yes they have a job. So do you treat them with respect, or don’t go complaining about how they treat you the same way you are treating them. They are amazing people, who work hard and TRY to keep the store clean. If you Wonder WHY the store is unorganized, go look at a mirror and ask it again. Tracy Jimmie Goolsby, (former reviewer) POSTED under these reviews how she got into a argument with a manager and the manager walked away. I WAS THERE when that happened and honestly that is unexpected that she wrote how the manager walked away, but not the reason. TRACY decided to ask the manager if she was even american because of the accent she had. Racist much? Clearly shes as smart as she looks. Moral of this review is Treat PEOPLE the way you WANT to be TREATED!!”

“I love shopping J.Jill and most staff is great however I do not feel comfortable when Audrey the manager is there. I do not feel she is warm and friendly and many times I have walked past this store and not gone in when I see her there, she comes across cold and better than others. My guess is other customers feel this way. Bobbi with the beautiful black hair is really nice and friendly, she always makes customers feel great along with the rest of the staff.”

I love the rigor of the classes, the variety of offerings and times of day they are offered, and most of all, I love the instructors who are ALL wonderful. I don't give these compliments lightly -- I'm always asked to push myself and I always get incredible guidance throughout each class. Best workout for a woman's body that I've found yet!”
