I'm giving it a 1 because of the recent changes. A few of our local Fasmart/Valero gas stations were bought out a bunch of months ago. One store in particular, is closest to me and had The Best Fried Chicken. This location was always staffed by 2, 3 or 4 employees all day long. It was well stocked with not only the items you'd expect, but also other fun impulse buys. I bought the best hat and stickers and shades there.
The place was always busy, especially the food bar.
Now I'm lucky to find my choice of beverage, let alone other must-haves. Each time I've been in, there has been 1 person working that I can tell. There was no one back in the kitchen area. The chicken buffet was empty and sad - and I've seen customers leave because of the few chicken options, including me.
They no longer participate with Fasmart, so my points and discounts aren't accepted at this Chatham Hwy 29 location or the Blairs Hwy 29 trailer. Between these two locations, I was a customer almost every day.
Maybe being Fasmart costs extra money. I don't know. But I can tell you I used to spend a lot between these two stores, and now I don't. That seems short-sighted to me.
These locations being sold is probably the best thing that ever happened to the ExxonMobil just 1/2 mile south. They've been getting my business. And based on their parking lot traffic, I'd say they are seeing a lot of new regulars.

Gas pumps never work right. Bathroom is nasty. Store is nasty. Heard good things about there food but with how just nasty everything is there I wouldn’t trust there kitchen to be clean

Girl, you BETTA work. The bathroom really does need some help, and the pumps could use some TLC. However, the staff and food are lovely! Gas is never to terribly high, and they always have kerosene. But please, for the love of all that's holy fix the air machine!!!

No complaints. I'm not a local, but when traveling through, I make this location a (quick stop) destination to visit mainly for the little restaurant (good food) there and for other items too.

Always so sweet and all smiles when I come in...great deals at the deli and the food is always fresh! Love there chicken and the deli team is amazing! Sweet staff and delicious food❤️

Just experienced THE WORST CASHIER/WORKER ever!!! I came in, said "Hi! I'm hungry! What do you have?" He looked with an attitude and said, "What the store sell." I asked what hot food the store sells and he replied, "That's all we sell. There's no hot food now, so you can leave." What??!!?? That's exactly what I will do then... INCREDIBLY RUDE!!
