“First time visitor in Feb 2026. John R. helped my friend Laura to grade and assess her entire coin collection (>250 pieces). John made seemingly reasonable offers on many of her coins. Laura needed some time to consider selling and John said that he'd honor his bids for 90 days. No pressure.

On my second visit John trained me to distinguish Mint State from cleverly cleaned Unc. coins. Don't laugh; differences are subtle!

On my third trip John allowed me even trade on my 6 (silver) state Qs for 3 (much older) Franklin halves. Additionally, he sold me some Merc & Barber dimes at nearly 10% discount.

Overall, John makes time for ALL of his clients, whether they're selling, buying or (like me) seeking his expertise. I can highly recommend New Castle Coin & Collectibles.”

“So glad we stopped!! Don't let the outside fool you. This place is chock-full of decent quality vintage glass, frames, art, ceramics, lamps, and so much more. The owner, Fran, is such a lovely and knowledgeable antique dealer, and very fair on prices. We'll definitely stop back in when we're in the area again.”
