About Chesapeake Animal Services Unit
The shelter is very clean and well kept. The environment is well run and the facility is great. The floor staff is busy caring for the animals and the volunteers are helpful and friendly. The staff and volunteers are caring and set a tone for the atmosphere. The program Snout and About is wonderful to participate in and they collect cans and use the money for fun spays and nuters. The process to adopt a pet is easy and the staff is understanding of important needs. The building is lovely and accommodating and the staff is helpful when need assistance. Cold weather blankets and clothes are kept for the animals to keep them warm.

Though we didnt end up adopting from here, the staff was very informative and polite. No pressure on us, and the facility is amazing.

Very clean and well run environment. The floor staff is very busy caring for the animals, as they should be, but are very helpful when you need assistance. Exactly how a true shelter should be run!
