I’ve been shopping at this HomeGoods location for years, and I genuinely enjoy the store. I’m here several times a week and usually find great items and friendly staff. Unfortunately, one thing that has consistently stood out—in a negative way—is the behavior of one employee, Tammy.
Every time I’ve interacted with her, she’s come across as condescending and unnecessarily rude. Today was no different. I politely asked if my items could be held until the close of business—a courtesy I’ve been extended many times in the past. I explained I didn’t have my business credit card on hand but would return before closing. She questioned me in a dismissive tone about exactly when I’d be back, and although I said likely around 5 or 6, I returned at 5:50 to find that nothing had been held at all.
It wasn’t just disappointing—it felt intentional, based on how she treated me during the earlier interaction. I understand policies vary, but the way she communicates is consistently unpleasant and off-putting. It’s unfortunate, because this location has so much potential, but experiences like this sour the visit.

I needed two particular, matching items I approached a cluster of employees, and the one who seemed the youngest, least experienced/familiar with products/locations took a professional interest -- to third degree: I was told there were none so I went to checkout with two minor items. The follow-through of this young lady, Nathalie, was stellar and represents the best responses the other employees in the cluster should have done. The store was significantly orderly in the aftermath of their throngs of customers in recent weeks, but Nathalie's service was exemplary, as she caught up with me at checkout and secured the two packs for me. I hope this young woman's business-building caliber of service becomes the training model for HomeGoods, as such will ensure they remain a viable, community-serving business.
