I have sold with this location a numerous amount of times and I can say the staff are not welcoming and the selling experience is horrible. Please save your time and do not sell here. I brought two large containers full of washed , gently used clothing. Majority of all the clothes were brand new with tags, brands such as Juicy Courtier, Gap, Old navy, True Religion, Nike, Adidas, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger. The guy told me they could only give me $16 for about 10 pieces. He told me my clothes had a “storage smell or smoke smell” and that they were out of style or stained. I won’t waste my time selling with this awful location because frankly it is very apparent they discriminate against people of color, I am a biracial woman and to experience discrimination and profiling because of how I look is appalling. I do not smoke and I am 9 months pregnant and I live in my own pet free home. Very disrespectful and rude. At other locations I’ve sold to I’ve had workers offer to help me carry my bags etc. No one offered to help me no one welcomed me. I was just left feeling neglected and disrespected. Whoever is in charge is running a very shallow and scamful business. I will say a prayer for all the mothers and woman that have wasted time and energy folding, organizing, washing their loved children’s clothes only to be discarded and “picked through.” I will not be coming back, very disheartening experience.

This store is a great concept and offers nice clothes at a discounted price.
My experience selling was disappointing. The staff I dealt with were not friendly. I watched them go through my clothes and they skipped half of my items. Before getting to the bottom of one of my bags, they put the clothes they had already removed back inside. They missed quite a few brand name items that were never worn and still had tags on them.
I brought four bags full of clothes. The lack of friendly customer service is enough to deter me from doing this again.
I will gladly be donating my items to others from now on.

Had a very nice experience here. I was immediately greeted and helped as soon as I walked in the door. Every staff member I saw asked if I needed help as I shopped and were super nice and extremely polite. They processed my huge bag while I Walked around the store.
A note on the prices- they appear fair to me. This isn’t a thrift store and it’s not new- their prices reflect that imo. Most clothing items $4.50 and they have deals too.
I would return and recommend.

Disappointed with Selling Experience and Customer Service
I recently visited this store to sell approximately 60 pieces of clothing, many of which were in excellent condition. To my surprise, only five items were selected, and I was offered just $5.00. This felt extremely undervalued and discouraging.
Additionally, my experience with customer service was disappointing. When I entered the store, I was not greeted, yet the customer behind me received a warm welcome. Staff also proceeded to assist her first, despite the fact that I had been waiting.
Overall, I left feeling ignored and disrespected. I hope the store can improve both its customer service and the transparency of its buying process.

Brought my daughter in Sunday afternoon to sell some of her clothes that no longer fit her. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes and she was happy to earn some extra cash. The team was excellent.

Privacy gone. If you plan to sell they require you to fill out a questionare, provide phone number, and various personal questions just to sell a kids shirt.
Assume they will be selling this data eventually.

They have a huge selection of things, but selling to them is infuriating. I took a huge box of clothes and shoes to them and they accepted maybe 10 items and said the rest had stains and wear and tear, yet when I opened the box to see what they didn’t accept the first item was a pair of overalls my son never even wore. There was also a diaper bag in there that my sister bought from another OUAC location and decided she didn’t want it so she gave it to me. I literally cut the tags off and had it in with the rest of my stuff, yet it wasn’t in good enough condition.

I was skeptical to leave a review after my first visit after seeing all the other reviews - but after a few visits the service was consistent and excellent. They’ve bought a good amount from me and have been kind and honest on what they are taking vs not taking. I appreciate this store, I’ve been very grateful to make a few dollars while cleaning out my son’s room.

If I could give it a 0 I would. 3 times now I have had issues with this OUAC. I drove over an hour to get to this store. Had zero issues with the one at Chesapeake square. Clothes are freshly laundered. Folded them neatly and organized in the house before I put them in the car. Sat outside their store for almost 10 minutes waiting for them to open. In that time I guess a “bug” flew on the books that were sitting on top of the clothes and they refused to even look at it. We are in the middle of fall and when I sit outside of your store for 10 minutes, bugs do fly onto things. To make it worse, before they even took my basket they were pulling things out and handing back to me (stuff like craft sets). If you don’t want it, leave it in there like all the other stores do. Will not shop or sell to this store ever again. Waste of time. I have sold over $1000 worth of clothes in the past 9 years to OUAC and this is literally the only store I have ever had issues with.

If you’re a person of color be aware, they offer you the bare minimum & do not go through your clothes. I brought well over 50 items of brand new baby clothes including Nike, Jordan, & other designer items. They picked out 19 kf the items most of it being Nike & offered me $4 and some change. I would rather give items to a family in need rather than waste my time with these racist people. Will not be returning. Thank you for nothing !

I’ve had a number of successes selling to this location which I’m super happy about! Also love buying - they have a huge variety of gently used children’s clothes and shoes to choose from. Their prices are more than reasonable! The staff is always lovely and very kind even when they get super busy. Not sure what’s up with all the negative reviews. I think some of these reviewers fail to realize OUAC is not obligated to buy anything from you. The store is also very well kept. We will definitely be long time customers!

Stay away from this place! Bunch of thieves!!!! Brought my stuff there to sell, some of the items were missing and were not on the purchase list but the worst part was that they took all of the batteries from my kid electronic toys! They returned toys without batteries! Mind blowing behavior !!! Shame on you people! Wish I could give you -5 stars
