I have been in the reefing hobby for several years now. I have been to fish stores all over the East Coast, including big cities, like Raleigh greater DC area and more, And premier aquatics is by far the best place I have ever been. The store is incredibly clean, well organized, and the selection In both Coral and fish is phenomenal. Staff is incredibly friendly and really care about the livestock they have. I have made several purchases from them, including buying a specialty fish tank, And have had nothing but great experiences. Even my fiancé who tags along most of my fish tank store visits said she liked this one best out of any of them we had ever been to. In short, this is the place to stop at in the area!

I’m new to keeping saltwater fish, I will say the experience I’ve had with these guys have been amazing. Not sure of his name but younger guy, super energetic and excited about all things fish, and seems to be a wealth of knowledge. No way shape or form did he ever make us feel dumb or anything for simply not knowing, and always willing to teach. Things maybe tend to be slightly more expensive than competitors but probably not much more to notice, and it’s work the experience you get from these guys. I will continue to source all things marine aquarium from these guy! Just stocked our first two fish from them. And on top of that, they seem to have had the most unique selection I’ve come to find, for clowns at least.

Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great variety of fish, coral, supplies and equipment. We've never had a bad interaction/experience when we go to Premier Aquatics. Definitely recommend.

Ryan and his team are top notch. All of his tanks are super clean and his fish and corals are very healthy and vibrant. If you have a saltwater aquarium in Chesapeake this is the place to go!!!

Hand Down The Best In the Area! When I first walked through the door and had a brief conversation with Ryan and Chase about how I wanted to possibly setup a salt water tank, I could tell instantly that I had found the right place! Ryan is very passionate about the business and the tanks in the store show that. He has an Amazing coral and fish selection! Everything you could possibly need far as supplies for your tank also and doesn’t just sell you something you don’t need or that won’t work with your setup. He has a great selection of the latest in gear at an incredible price. The store definitely lives up to the name Premier Aquatics!

Great spot if you want to get into or have a saltwater tank! Ryan is very knowledgeable and helpful - You can tell he likes what he does. Has some truly AWESOME tanks on display to check out. Coral and livestock purchased here have done great in my home setup.

Just started off in the saltwater hobby about a year ago. The first 3/4 months really made me regret getting into it until I discovered this place which was able to help me understand the dynamics of it all and were really patient with me on diagnosing and the DOs/DONTs. Highly recommend this place. Selection, price and customer service is top notch.

Hands down the cleanest Saltwater fish store in tidewater and you'd be hard pressed to find a competitor with lower prices or healthier corals. Only sells saltwater fish, corals and associated gear. Double check the hours because it's a one man show so he's only open Thursday through Sun but he's been hiring on more help full time with a vision to expand hours and maybe dip into freshwater. Very knowledgeable and won't sell you something you don't need. I've watched him take things from customers hands and put them back on the shelf because they won't need it for 6 months or possibly ever. Worth the trip you won't be disappointed.
