Can't even pick up the phone.

Quite a crowd in the stores that are left after the whole issue with Rx. It is a shame the people who work there are swamped. I am currently hunting for a new pharmacy.

I was forced to use this location since Rite Aid closed the other location that was 1000% better. This place is slower than a snail stuck on molasses in the Arctic. I’m going to have to find a new pharmacy if this location doesn’t improve fast. Time is money and currently this location owes me a lot of money.

I stopped by the Rite Aid on Gainsborough Road, just off of Battlefield Boulevard in the heart of Chesapeake. The staff was friendly, helpful and they answered my questions and their products. I saw the Stocking Stuffer display and I was shocked to see COVID-19 tests in that bin. Is this a real thing??? I guess I should look at the bright side, they're 2 for $15 or $9.99 each.

Customer service has hit rock bottom. The auto refill line never works, pharmacy never answers the phone. What is going on ?!?! Get your act together because you are not the ONLY pharmacy in town.Update: I called the RA complaint line 3 hours ago and was told I would receive a priority call from the pharmacy, still waiting!!!. I guess Rite aid doesn't care about customers. UPDATE, 3 days later and NO callback.

This pharmacy is the worst. If you read all the reviews, I just experienced all of the other customers' concerns in one transaction. The prescription was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes to only be told after waiting that they did not have the meds. Why would they not check before telling me it would be 30 minutes. They told me they sent it to another pharmacy. When I tried to call to see if it was ready, no one answered the phone. I called over 30 times. My daughter needs her meds tonight! I hope to God when I drive up there to get them, they have it. If they dont, I will not be nice. The really sad thing is reading all of these reviews. Rite Aides' answer is to have the aggregated customer call another number. Trust me, I won't be calling anyone after this. I will never, ever get another prescription filled at Rite Aide again. Apparently, the standards for this pharmacy are very low. To have so many of the same complaints at multiple locations over a long period of time just shows that nobody is listening to the customer.A lot of the big box pharmacies are going out of business because customers are sick of being treated badly. And Rite Aide will be next. People need medicine because they are sick, in pain, or are in a critical condition that they may die if they don't have the medicine prescribed. I hope your conscience can handle all the pain, anxiety, and frustration you are causing people. And god forbid, no one dies.

I hate walgreens. They have the market share so they treat folks however they want. My rite aid next door closed so I had to have my prescriptions transferred to walgreens. I leave in the morning to go out of the country, and of course, the walgreens that has my stuff is closed on Sundays. I took it to a rite aid who said they doubt they will have it in time because people at walgreens don't answer the phone. So I called a walgreens that was open and they assured me they would have it ready today, in fact, she told me it would be a little earlier than 5pm. So me and my wife waited around and at 5pm I went in, waited for 10 minutes before going up there and they tell me oops, sorry it won't be ready until tomorrow. When I told her the pharmacy ist assured me it would be ready today she said, "well, sorry". I hate walgreens, never had a good experience, and never will.

My doctor called in an antibiotic for me and it wasn’t filled until 24 hours later, which I was only just now notified of 10 minutes before they were closing. So I’m having to wait another day to be able to pick it up. This is unacceptable!

This place is ridiculous! Can’t ever get through the phone line. They don’t answer!! Scripts take forever to get filled or they do not have meds in stock. Word of advise…. Go to CVS or Walgreens where they actually get things done for their customers.

Can anyone explain why this pharmacy never, ever answers their phone?? What about our senior citizens or the people who don't have the transportation to get to the pharmacy to check on their medications bcuz no one will respond to the incoming calls for the pharmacist. Something needs to be done about this immediately!!

Don't bother calling—no1 one will answer the phone. They're probably okay if you don't have any prescriptions that are urgent but don't expect anythi g to be filled in anything resembling a timely manner.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a pharmacist. Usually, a bad experience at a pharmacy just means a long wait. In this case, however, the pharmacist is either malicious or completely incompetent.I called to refill a prescription that I had been getting for the past year. I was previously getting it from the Kroger pharmacy, but they stopped accepting Tricare, so I had to transfer it here. When I told the pharmacist my prescription, he asked me if I would like 1 bottle for $50 or 2 bottles for $89. I had been getting 3 bottles for $15, so I asked why the price had changed. He then starts ranting about how the person who did that made a mistake, and he wasn't going to "risk a $250,000 fine to save me a few bucks." I thought that was a very strange response, considering I was just asking about the price and not asking him to commit insurance fraud on my behalf. The "mistake" explanation didn't make much sense because I had gotten it twice from Kroger and once from this Rite Aid before- all for $5 a bottle. Not to mention, when it was prescribed, my doctor explicitly said it was cheap. It seems unlikely that a doctor and 3 pharmacists all made a mistake, but this is the guy that caught it. When I questioned this, he insisted it was a very expensive product nearing $300 without insurance. He said I was welcome to try another pharmacy, but that's the price.Of course, the first thing I did was try to transfer it to another pharmacy. I called a nearby Walgreens and arranged to transfer it there. After a day or two of not hearing anything, I called the Walgreens again, and they said they hadn't received anything. They said they would call Rite Aid again, but I could also follow up. I decided to call hoping to get a different pharmacist. Unfortunately, I got the same guy. I asked if it had been sent, and he said it had and then tried to lecture me on the procedure of transferring prescriptions and how they shouldn't have told me to call. After that, I called the Walgreens again, and they said they still hadn't received it, but they'll call him again. Once 5 days had past, I decided to just get my doctor to send the prescription directly to the Walgreens, so I wouldn't have to interact with this Rite Aid pharmacist anymore. Surprise, surprise, Walgreens received it right away and the price... $4.67 a bottle.I'm not sure what this pharmacist is on or why he was so rude, but I do know I will never go to this Rite Aid ever again. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location at all costs.
